  1. Jim at the end of the day you can do what you want..whose gonna know ? If you think you can carry out all the tests required to assure yourself that the new and exsisting circuits comply with the 17th IEE regs, and anything you do isn't going to result in injury or death of a loved one go for it..Part P has no allowance for "Signing off" but you can get it signed off by way of an Inspection and test Cert by a Sparky
  2. The Health and Safety at work Act is quite clear on these matters. Both the Employer AND the Employee have a duty of care to each other if you become aware of equipment electrical or otherwise that is clearly either unsafe or in a less than satisfactory condition you ( The Employee ) have a legal obligation to report it, if you use it and injure yourself or another party it's your head on the block not the employer..I also refer you to the PUWER regs
  3. Anni I love the SN Pump for grin factor but the M2 is SOOOOOOOOOOO light it's unreal mate it's so pointable and with a couple of mods like a new charge handle and bolt release it's awesome. Have you seen the single cart reload vid ?
  4. Great gun I have the 24" for PSG as well as an M2 in FAC Do your self a favour and use a pattern plate somewhere they shoot off a little
  5. I don't use them but I am going to look into printer generated date and item stickers as well, I was in Greggs the other day getting a *cough* healthy Baguette and noticed they had them on their plug tops looked very professional, as I said I would do a course but I don't agree it is a legal requirement christ you don't even need papers to be an electrician nowdays !!. Just be careful about disposal..very careful make sure you have someone on the premises that all failed items go to, I take a camera phone pic of all my failed items showing the item and the sticker clearly I then pass these to the manager in charge, it it falls back into circulation it's his/her headache always try to cut the plug off if you can, this is not always practical as cutting off moulded plugs off of expensive equipment is hard to justify, by far class 1 are the items you need to take a lot of care over, especially if they are hand held..their the one's that give the *** winders
  6. Nice job...that's what you call giving the animal a sporting chance..
  7. I also am a Qualified sparky and do all the PA testing for my firm, been doing it a few years now, my machine is quite in depth as it records the actual test results ie in ohms or M ohms, rather than a simple pass or fail, I then download these to comp backed up several times on servers, records can be held electronically they don't have to be hand written, all my appliances have bar codes on them so I can scan them in quicker, and look for degeneration of test results Do you need to be qualified ..no but you can do a C&G course on it, too much knowledge is never a bad thing..Your saving him a fortune let him invest in your training.. Oh and if you get stuck with any 'Odd' results PM me
  8. Official witness accounts..the only thing wrong with the execution was it should have been 25 years earlier.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exlS6sHa1wU...feature=related
  9. Vampire is quite right I think it is a popular misconception..Taken from the BASC site.. MAMMALS: brown rats, grey squirrels, stoats, mink and rabbits Live quarry shooting Many people shoot live quarry, either on their own land or where they have permission. The species which you can shoot are limited by the law and by the effective power of an air rifle. All birds are protected, and although there are seasons when you can legally shoot game, and some wildfowl, they are not suitable quarry for air rifles. However, as long as you are complying with firearms law, you can shoot certain pest bird species. These are covered by open general licences which, in simple terms, mean you can shoot the birds listed, provided you have the landowner’s permission and provided you are doing it for one of the reasons allowed by the licence. These reasons include: * to protect crops * to protect game and wildlife * to protect public health or safety http://www.basc.org.uk/en/codes-of-practice/air-rifles.cfm

    speeding ticket

If you were doing 29 in a 30 and the camera said 41, would you be happy to accept your punishment then? I'm pretty sure you would not. I was doing around 35 nowhere near 47, I asked to see the calibre *** you started a thread now your bleating EITHER go to court and contest it or shut the **** up we ALL break laws I do so do other PW members but we don't bleat about it deal with it move on
  13. Advice from BASC is definitive on this, in fact I think there was a case on here where a guy got nicked by plod for shooting within the 50 zone, it went to court, as the Police couldn't prove alarm or distress it was booted..the officer is still wiping egg off their face.. In particular, care should be taken when siting Guns near roads. Section 161 of the Highways Act 1980 (England & Wales) makes it an offence to discharge a firearm within 50 ft of the centre of a highway with vehicular rights without lawful authority or excuse, if as a result a user of the highway is injured, interrupted or endangered.

If Forsey's can't help (and in my experience their always more exspensive for the same gun) Give Peter Starley a ring he's a long time PSG'er and usually carries them, he also owns Midway UK for all the after-market Nordic tubes and other accessories you may need. Peter J. Starley Telephone: 0845 2266005 http://www.black-powder.co.uk/

  21. You need a Basic safety course and a "Competition grade" pass, this is required only for UKPSA and IPSC sanctioned comps, do the course tho it's an eye opener !
  22. Rich.. Peter J Starley has done all my tube changes on my Benelli's I haven't seen a diagram for this particular model, but I see know reason why it would be any different, remove the stock tube from the receiver, replace with a standard FAC tube then extend it with a Nordic Components ext tube and clamp, Peter is Midway UK dealer, just email him for a price.. http://www.black-powder.co.uk/index.htm
