  1. Gents, For clarification. South Lincolnshire Wildfowlers Club has in place, since the 2013/14 season, a shooting arrangement with Leicester WA. As a club we provide them with a number of 'day tickets' which any of their members can use. Part of the arrangement with Leicester is that our club members do have access to the Earith Washes via the day ticket process presently in place with the Earith Washes Group. Steve Cook Honorary Secretary South Lincolnshire Wildfowlers Club
  2. Hi Guys, Just need some advice. I've been given a videocam (Camsport) but I have no software/disks etc. I've tried recording stuff & then playing it back & my laptop which automatically opens & plays it on Windows Mediaplayer so I assume the format it records in is a common one. Question is...Where can I get some video editing software from? Nothing special, just cutting out the 'slow' bits etc. What do you guys use/recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Steve
  3. Alan, Defo in with 2 teams. Steve

  8. Just wondered if anyone on here has any info on Toplands Clay ground near Preston please. My son has just started at Preston Uni. 3 weeks ago & is already missing his shooting. It's a little tricky as he hasn't got his gun with him as its not allowed in student digs. Any info greatly appreciated. Steve & Alex

  10. I think everyone enjoys visiting the fairs but for the last few years I just we are getting ripped off more & more every year. I asked a few weeks ago if anyone had gone to the big game fair at Chambord in France. After some good feedback I've now used some Tesco vouchers & got a return Chunnel crossing for £8. Official game fair campsite 8km down the road with all facilities including pool-£18 a night! 3 days pass £20, yes £20 for all 3 days. Campsite gives us priority car access or we can hire a bike & ride there. Long weekend here we come. Will get pics & report back. Steve & Alex
  11. Went to Doveridge today for the first time. Enjoyed the targets & shot ok however.... I was surprised at the number of shooters carry guns out of slips. I shoot at 5 or 6 different grounds & it's standard to leave guns in slips until you shoot then replace back in slip. At least half the guns had obviously taken their guns out of the slips from the car but didn't use then at the ground, just walking around with gun over shoulder etc. I found it very strange.
  12. I'm thinking of going to the French Game Fair at Chambord next month. Wondered if anyone had been & what it was like. Aerial view of the site from last years shows it looks about the same size as the Midland I would say. Entry is only 14euro a day or 23 for a 3 day ticket. Parking is free! Just shows how we are being ripped of here. I'm looking to camp locally. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Steve

  20. Alan, I'm coming over with my son Alex (Alex C - winner of the Herts flush sporting) I've told him he needs to prove it wasn't a fluke last time! 21. Hi guys, Noticed they have just started to lift the peas local to me last night. With the weather as hot as it is, what time is best to get out once the pigeons find the fields, I will have a choice of about 8 fields? I would normally go very early but some shooters suggest late afternoon is best once it starts to cool off a bit. Thoughts please. Steve & Alex
  22. Thanks Alan & Ben, Great day as usual. Just found out my son Alex took high gun, he was 17 last month! He can't believe it. Looks like this shooting lark is going to get even more expensive than it already is!!! As he has just said to me, 'the apprentice has become the master' Alex & Steve Cook
