Just spoken to Jackie martin is doing well i asked her if she had been into hospital to see Martin, she had been when it first happened and he was in the RVI on 17 th march then on the 23 rd march he was moved into the Freeman and she has not seen him since as that was the day the hospital went onto lockdown the sisters haven't seen him either sine he was moved, Jackie has a friend that works in the hospital she see her when the friend is doing her shopping and goes though Jackie till in the supermarket.. Jackie said martin has had a fall this afternoon he's ok no injury, but they say he is trying to be independent now his tubes have been taken out he is wanting to go for a walk all the time she has been told he could well be going to walkergate around the 23rd this month for more rehab the longest they stay there is 6 months then he could be sent home with carers. will keep updating as and when i get any news.. Haven't spoken to Jackie today been to busy ( house work is never ending ) but just got this text from her..... Hi Martin has now had his feeding tube removed and is doing well with feeding himself , they are monitoring his weight but he’s doing really well , nurses say Martin is desperate to be independent x

Hi Pete from what i can gather his sisters have been to see him but the hospital is on lockdown no visitors allowed due to corona 19 Jacki rings the ward sisters in the hospital to get updates on martin... private rehab is ok but then he has nothing to remember what his mates on here have done for him at least if he has an iPad he can think of PW every time he uses it...

Funny that was just talking to one of the lads about this any ideas how we can make sure any iPad or what ever we get cannot be taken away from him.. Jackie is having trouble with the sisters they block every thing she tries to do for Martin even to asking the hospital not to let her visit... Mike

Cheers Pete but the police have them now don't think Jacki can do anything about it as the sisters will not let her even visit Martin. so don't know how she can get them back and as you well know most of his guns were air rifles think he only had one shotgun..

Just heard again from Jacki Matin is coming along better than expected..... But the family have had the police in and all Martins guns have been taken .....the excuse is so social services can go into the house and work with Chris.. Martin was the only one who new where the keys were so look like the police have broken into his gun cabinet.. from what i recall he only had one shotgun the rest were air rifles so if he does recover will he get them back don't think so .. As Jacki does not get on with the sisters she does not even know if they got a receipt and list of things taken...Martin is really going to get peed of when he gets home .. Social services said they are OK to sell Martins things as they have his best interests at heart....not so sure about that ??

Spoke to Jacki, Martin is doing well and she would like a selfie taken by everyone who has had anything to do with this fund after i told her how we were doing and she has asked for a photo file to be put on the iPad so martin will be able to look at it to help his memory....just a pic and user name. Having spoke to Dave last night he thought it was a good idea to close the fund now and start buying...Dave if we all send a selfie and username could you put it all into a file for his desk top so its easy for Martin to access....Jacki asked me to thanks everyone for all the support and generosity you have shown.... Will keep you updated on any change..

Well the latest on Martin i spoke to Jackie last night and she thinks a top class i pad with all the trimmings for him would be best she rang the hospital yesterday ( no visiting C19 ) and he is coming along a lot better than the hospital first thought yesterday he had taken his feeding tube out got out of bed and walked over to the window and was stood looking out when one of the nurses when in to check on him, apparently he got a good telling of for getting up without any help... Jacki said his sisters keep trying to call him but he just cuts them off so they have demanded that when they call him there is a nurse there with him so he cannot do that... Its good news that he is walking a few steps unaided after the hospital thought he would never leave there Jacki thinks a few more weeks and he might be moved into a care home for recovery..

I think if its Given to Jackie to give him he will not be able to refuse.....
