  1. Bought this for my youngest son to come to the club with me but now he’s at Uni he’s not really interested due to being away in digs so it’s not really being used anymore and I feel it’s time to let someone else get some use out of it. As per title it’s a Webley VMX 2.0 Black edition. It’s in .177 calibre and comes with original open sights and a BSA padded bag and instructions. For a budget springer it’s not bad too be fair and I’m more used to premium springers but with much lowered expectations it’s certainly reasonable enough to use. Obviously now made in Turkey unlike the Birmingham Webley heyday and I think it’s probably more Hatsan striker than Webley but nonetheless it’s a decent enough entry level plinker. Im based in Derbyshire not far from Long Eaton area and collection would be preferable as I don’t have any boxes or any packaging that’s suitable enough for me to post it. Looking for £80 collected and can be tried before purchase if required.
  2. I’ve emailed Air Arms a few times over the many years and always had a fairly quick reply usually it’s Sheila that gets the short straw with my daft questions 😁
  3. Bought this a few months back as a backup stop gap car just incase I ended up without wheels as at the time wasn’t sure if I was moving on my Range Rover which I decided to keep in the end.I actually let my brother borrow it for a month during August as he was inbetween motors and I’ve taken ownership again as he’s now bought an Audi TT I’m not actually sure I need it now as I need to reduce and rework the cars in the household so I’m going to offer it up for sale instead. (Pics as it’s sat on my drive)Quick summary.2010 Mini One 1.6 Petrol LCI (facelift R56) Mileage around 113k from memoryMOT January 2025 Some history (receipts etc) The lady owner I bought it from owned it for about 10 years and it’s been in my name twice and my bothers hence I think the V5 is showing 5 owners but technically it’s less than that as mentioned. I honestly think it’s a half decent motor it starts, stops and goes and drives fairly decent but it’s cheap for a reason namely;NS Noticeable drone not excessively loud but it’s there and I’m unsure if Wheel bearing or a really noisy tyre. I did inspect the rear wheel bearing as I thought that’s where I could hear the noise but it spins freely and isn’t noisy when jacked up so assume it’s either the front bearing or as mentioned maybe a tyre. I have noticed sometimes it does have occasional smoke when idling. Engine sounds fine and it doesn’t give me the impression it’s breathing hard eg I don’t think it’s piston/ring related my guess would be possibly slight valve stem seals wear which is causing the occasional smoke. When I first bought it there was some rough running which I identified as being Vanos related. I changed the oil for correct grade as Vanos solenoids love clean correct oil and also removed and cleaned both Vanos solenoids. I also replaced the PCV valve as these are a known issue which can cause smoke and/or rough running. These measures cured the rough running and it runs fine now but as mentioned occasionally it does puff a little smoke at idle it’s not excessively eg clouds and no signs when looking in the mirrors but if standing outside you can occasionally see signs. Tyres all legal tread but show signs of age and from being stood. The NS front wheel arch liner ideally needs replacing as it looks like the previous owner had a problem with the screen washer bottle which is cable tied in position and I can’t work out why they damaged the liner probably trying to pull it out of situ with clips fastened which maybe damaged the liner.I remember the lady owner telling me something happened to the bonnet release catch cable so maybe they tried to access it through the liner to gain access. The bonnet opens fine and it looks like the cable was replaced. Both wiper blades are split (I have brand new ones ready to fit which I’ll do or include if I forget) Apart from the above as mentioned it’s half decent and a cheap stop gap car or even a project car perhaps. Also being the one model it’s much cheaper on insurance than the cooper which as we all know insurance companies love to load. My location is near Long Eaton, Derbyshire 5 mins from J25 M1 Can be inspected and test driven it’s fully legal eg insured and taxed and V5 in my name etc Far too good to scrap so I’m offering it at a bargain £500 to hopefully help someone out looking for a cheap stop gap car or to do up as a project etc.
  4. Cheers Mud, Unfortunately I tried to edit the advert and couldn’t work out how to do it and ended up deleting the pics from my profile. It’s withdrawn from sale now as I have a use for it 👍🏻
  5. The missing lower seat trim that covers the drivers seat electrics (part is a usually available for about £50 from gentleman of salvage although was out of stock last time I checked) As mentioned was great for load lugging on a recent holiday to centre parcs 😁
  6. They say never meet your hero’s I wanted an L322 shape Range Rover since they first came out but back then there was zero chance of me ever finding the 60k or so. Fast forward to the present times and I’ve scratched that itch and hand on heart it’s been fairly enjoyable. I have to be realistic now and we have decided to get one car to use as a family bus which will mainly be my wife’s wheels and as she doesn’t feel confident enough lugging a full fat beast around it’s time to say goodbye to the L322 During my ownership I’ve replaced the alternator (brand new unit) as it was apparent there was a charging fault as the battery light would stay illuminated although it wasn’t actually causing any issues. After a big head scratching few days testing everything it was then concluded the ignition switch was causing a low voltage scenario pinging the battery light on and occasionally pinging a suspension fault but would then clear after a few mins once driven. Some detective work seen me replacing the ignition switch with a brand new unit and it’s been absolutely perfect ever since. I’ve done near on 1000 miles since then and not had a single fault or single issue it’s been absolutely pukka and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive anywhere in it. A brief run down warts and all. 2006 (Facelift L322) 3.0 TD6 BMW engine circa 130k Auto Box all good. Air suspension been perfect no issues Surprisingly very solid no rot or any real concerns. MOT December A few negatives but as it’s 18 years old and more a workhorse type truck it’s really a 10ft looker. Various scuffs, scrapes, small dents, scratches and dings if you look for them. Unfortunately no service history or book packs. Interior in the front looks a little tired and there’s a drivers seat lower trim squab that covers the seat electrics that’s missing along with the rear parcel cover thing but the tinted rear windows obviously help to a certain extent. Removable tow bar is present and will be supplied along with some towing electrics to covert setups if required etc. Tyres all good tread and I’ve not had to top up anything surprisingly it holds it’s liquids and doesn’t appear to mark its territory. After the alternator fiasco (as above) I’ll also include the original alternator which wasn’t the fault after all but I couldn’t be bothered to remove it again (semi retired) so left the new one in situ. As mentioned I’ve done over 1000 miles in recent weeks and it’s been great plus it swallows so much gear x4 adults for a week at Centre parcs was epic. If you are genuinely looking for a nice old workhorse my Range Rover has bags of potential it would make an ideal towing or shooting truck perhaps but alas as my circumstances have changed it’s such a shame to see it not being used and just gathering more cobwebs. I’m realistic I don’t want daft money but I’m also not naive I’ve been a semi retired car mechanic for a few years now and have worked for many main dealers including Land Rover hence I know when somethings half decent. I’m located in Derbyshire near Long Eaton and any viewings are most welcome. The V5 (logbook) is present and in my name. I would like £2000 which is a heck of a lot of truck for the money. I can provide the registration number if you wish to carry out your own checks and it’s mot history is pretty good and it’s not been in any accidents or has any finance etc I’m just weary of unscrupulous types that plague society.
  7. Hi I am interested, whats your location and is it .177 or .22? Thanks
