  1. Indeed there is a BASC page you can 'like' form wiki but not one you can join!
  2. Why have BASC not got a Facebook page that you can 'join'. I would be proud to join such a page!
  3. The general licence is applicablle to all animals on the general licence, which i'm pretty sure rabbits are on it!! and its up to all 'landowners' to control them, which yes they can get pest contolers in to sort them out, but as per above post the are only causing damage to 'grass' heading down to a spinny, so there is no damage to embankments or the tracks, so what is cows or sheep have a track thats they can't eat.......should we be able to control sheep cos of this? or even badgers? under the general licence this is not a sutable reason i'm sure
  4. eat the all, it cheaper than buying the sunday roast
  5. i think that the farmer should be proud of you as there are no pigeons to shoot!! good job what will you do with the rest of the year?~?
  6. As a fellow Wildfowler I thank you for trying to raise awairness to the dangers of wildfowling, it doesn't matter how well you think you know a marsh and tides, it can still catch you out. I was so sorry to hear about your fathers death and as unfortnate as his death was, he will teach alot of us never to underestimate our marshes, i will raise a glass in honor to your father and ask all to do the smae. Good luck to all you fellow Wildfowlers out there and may you have many years of glorious, safe seasons to come,
  7. Thats what we all like to hear, good job too many people use the general licence just for 'sport' these days, my wife and I never have to but meat from supermarkets, whatever i shoot we eat, happy days
  8. Rabbits have chewed threw a fence just to cross a 'railway'? and under the general licence this is a good reason to shoot them? well if you feel that you have tried other methods to stop them from being a nuisence on the 'railway' then just lie down, down wind, job done

I am looking on expanding on my National Certificate in Environmental Conservation that i studied some years ago. i have been gardening pretty much since then, but now my local college has started an apprenticeship scheme So my question is, are there any Estates/Keepers in the North Wales area who might consider taking on an apprentice? I have been a keen pest controler for over 10 years, I have SGC with 2 shotguns in home storage, I'm applying for FAS and i have a mad lab. Any info kindly recieved. Cheers And i also worked on a Pheasant rearing farm for 6 months, where we looking after the Pheasants from day of birth to the day the we delivered to the Estates.

    Pet Fox

I probably could keep a fox as a pet, you get used to smells, i keep ferrets and the mrs says they stink to high heaven but i dont really smell them anymore. A fox is just like any other animal if treated right then they should be fine.
  19. stopped shooting them then?? a cist on the leg would not make this in-edible!!
