I have a swaro z6i 2.5-15x56, i do quite alot of stalking woodland and moor mine pretty much always stays on 8x even when foxing with my other rifle i stay on 8x unless a long shot is required(250 yarsd) My advice would be a good european scope 8x56 and illuminated reticule for last light stalkin!

Oh i do also have some excellent pigeon/rabbit/fox shooting, in total i shoot stalk a rather large amount of land covering devon and cornwall inc moorland pasture land and arable! So could do a good deal with the right person!

First of what species? have you aged them cut back the mouth and checked tooth eruptions, i would then glove up and carry out a gralloch on the freshest one and check glands etc. Its hard to ascertain cause of death with out seeing and geusstimates dont help! take pictures? I use 140g nosler bts using reloder 15 giving excellent results on reds and roe and even foxes! Just started experimenting with 120g nosler bts will let you know results! found using cci match primers and rl15 better than h380 so far!

I use 3mm ply and draw a crow shape cut out about 25 or so spray them matt black and place them around a feed area get there dark oclock and setup, get well covered and hidden and theyll come in!

Two last night. Dog and vixen paired up shot with .243 using 95g nosler ballistic tip called pair in shot 1@ 67yards stopped other with a shout and shot at appprox 130 yards, using nightmaster red led Total 16

I often get this with close range foxes, bullets do notb get a chance to expand and pass straight through, if you didnt clip the top of the heart and only hit the lungs it will make it a fair old distance. I shot a roe buck in the summer at about 80yrds lung shot he ran up a hill about 100yrds then turned round made it back 300yrds before expiring. Start your search from shot sight circling out to fall site to last sighting semi circling and and expanding your semi cicrle larger and larger. Thay will run for the thickest cover in the vicinty and lay up Roe are masters of disguise even when dead so double check! Its happend to me and i hated it, unfortunatly its a part of our game and like me its nice to see you care! good luck you will find her!

It has the varmit hunters reticule which is a £70 pound extra, It also has the very smart leupold alumina flip up covers which cost around £100,It also comes with the leupold quick realse scope rings! again these are around 40 pound!
