If they write it off offer to buy it back from them and just get a new ignition fitted yourself if the car is still good. I did this a few years back with a fiesta, they wrote it of for £600 worth of damage so i got the car back and £510 and still drove it for 6 months then sold it for £200. Regards Mark

Hi The only problem with foam earplugs is that they dont cover the ear and a lot of noise can get in from around the ear. In my previous job my employer would only allow us to use the foam earplugs aswell as cups because of this. i personaly use Peltor sportac Regards Mark

The only problem with plugs(from what i was told from my old jobs health and safety people) is that a lot of sound can get in from behind the ear. If you get a decent pair of cup type ear protection, they cover all the ear thus reducing the amount of sound entering from the back of the ear. Hope this helps Mark
