  5. THANKS QUEST. What would happen if the bank of england just created the money for the government to pay off interest on its debt mountain, does it just weaken the pound against other currencies, aswell as cause inflation..
  6. Caveat emptor. He wont get caught again buying a croc.

  14. Gutting 50 rabbits before school, so my uncle could drop them to the butcher in his dinner hour, and give you a pat on the head as reward. But there again i used to knick his rifle from under hid bed, while he was at work.

  16. I wIll start with baths as a kid in the belfast sink in the kitchen with the whole family there, cos the bath had 2 or 5 salmon in it, waiting to be sold. No fridges in those days. Come on guys lets hear yours.
  17. Been years since i saw a partridge over here lads. Used to be big clove-es of them in the fields behind my gaff in the stubbles, shot to oblivion, and the introduction of foxes hasnt helped i suppose.
  18. im only a simple country lad, but if they tripled the amount of money in circulation, and payed us all triple, and everything we buy tripled we would be no worse off. But only sitting on a quarter of the debt. I am only being light-hearted ofcourse. Whats the pros and cons of inflation, the hidden ones i mean.
  19. dunno, but it wont be a female horse i know that. females are at a big dis-advantage against males strenghtwise just like ladies adainst men. It isnt so obvious on the flat, its a divide on the sand and its just a healthy gap in N H. but its there to be taken advantage of, as most punters havent a clue what sex the horse they are backing is.
  20. they are different plans teal. All the plans between them only find on average 2 selections a day. look at the side they are unfiltered on the spread sheet and run in race order by time and date. 29/Sep/2010 a/w plan 2 8:50 Kempton they are just an example why a selection comes up twice. re your comments on the pro gambler. most pros make their money on anomalies, they back multiple selections in markets they think are skewed, and can turn the percentages long term to their advantage, there are not many. as for the figures in your post, you are correct in your sums you have to give the odds of 5/1, its then all about strike 21. no a betting exchange. WBX Betfair Betdaq I will gladly introduce you to betting exchanges. One word of warning about betting exchanges is this, there markets are proven to be the most accurate markets on unknown outcomes in the world. They literally are over all markets within 0.4% of 100 accurate. So what that means is even a pin sticker making hundreds of blind bets would break even on average. However you pay commission on any profit made on a market with an exchange of 5% or less depending on total turnover. In practice it means this. you and a m8 have £100 each. you toss a coin for a pound a flip, 4000 flips later you are both just about even on the law of averages. in effect with betfair you are letting them hold the £2, and they return £1.95 to the winner. 4000 tosses and you and your m8 still broke even in amount of toses won. But betfair would have the £200 in commissions. That 5% in the real world is hard to beat. A market on an exchange is always virtually a 100% book. A bookmakers is around 112% to 120%. What that means is for every £112/£120 a bookie takes he pays out £100. Heres a quick way to work out a bookies mark-up, its a pretty accurate way to do it in your head. 2/1 33% 3/1 25% 4/1 20% 4/1 20% 9/1 10% 9/1 10% 118% book all you do to change the price to percentage is add the numbers together, 2/1 is 3, then 3 into 100 is 33%. then 3/1 is 4, then 4 into 100 is 25%, and so forth. any books that add up to around 100% and your getting the proper value, the hgher the over-round the poorer the value, i.e. your offered 4/1 about a 5/1 true chance and will lose long term.

The above selections are all based on long term statistical probobality and therefore the punter is taking extremely poor value price. All selections are horses selected to lose at 4/1 9/2 or below, decimal 5 5.5, and layed on a betting exchange. Laying is acting as bookmaker and basically backing the horse not to win when not laying the whole field. If anyone is interested in the selections pre races, just say and i will post the rules for each investment plan. These are long term investment plans that solely rely on long term punter weakness. All plans shown are time proven successful and have returned in excess of 15% roi average. I also publish my selections in one other racing forum, they get alot of views. think of a bet as a commodity. A punter buys a bet. A bookmaker sells the punter a bet. Now they both own a commodity that can either grow or diminish in value. I.e. the price goes down {comes in } the punter now has a bet he can sell on and keep the bit in the middle, i.e. bet placed at 8/1 comes into 5/1. the punter can sell at 5/1 and keep the 3 point free bet, and will get paid 3 times the stake if it wins and e sold for the same stake as he bought. Racng takes on a different complexion now doesn't it.
  23. Costly that tho, or it was in my day, otherwise working men like me, especially left-handers, just had to persevere with straight stocks and as you say usage, i always found english skeet to be a good way of trying as i could always see the shot for a split second, and could tell where i was missing.
  24. Good post and good sense, a shotgun isnt just an investment of money, its an investment of many hours using it as well. A shotgun has to come upto the eye correctlly and handle nicely, otherwise it will bring with it mainly frustration.
