I was at a tree conference on the day of the election. There were plenty of the more hippy types present. Two girls in thier late 20s were stood behind me. One said something like "Ohhh, he's won by the looks of it" whilst looking at her phone is a dismayed tone of voice. The other said something like "Oh I know, its bad" I'd already smiled and made eye contact before chiming in on thier conversation and said something like the following... "I'm not an American, I dont pay tax into America, don't educate my child in America, dont live in America, dont buy groceries in America and dont know what day to day life is like in America. If people have voted the current government out, it has to be for a good reason and none of us here can truly understand that whilst we live in the UK" They did understand my point and took it well, we than chatted about the conference in a happy manner. As we've said, with the media bias against him, you sometimes feel at risk for even mildly defending him.

I feel were in a bit of a sad state when such things I used to joke about with folk I know are now coming true. My mum used to bang on about how "We're going like Russia over here" back in the late 90s, this was in response to more and more cameras about in public places. I was only about 13 or so and obviously didn't understand what she meant. Id constantly tell her to shut up as she said things like "You wont be able to trump in your own home soon" Her dad was Polish and had a good idea about how life was going over on the other side of the Berlin wall. She still tells me to this day "My dad always said that once that wall comes down, all that mess will come this way" Maybe she has a point.

Ah I was just looking to see on the off chance. Thanks for the info though!

Im guessing she's right handed? ....

That made me laugh.

For me personally, I just find it sad to see green fields built over when we have so many decadent old unused brownfield areas within towns and cities. The age old topic I suppose.

That is very saddening, but not surprising.

---Good luck and let us know how you get on.--- Thanks, It'll be a little while yet as im in the middle of moving house. I'll have a bit more space for such endeavours as well as a vice where im going to help with things. I will try the jig idea for sure. For me even when I was a young lad, word 'shotgun' gave me an image in my head of a hammer gun ha ha Unfortunately some of these old relics are damn near worthless however that lets some of us buy them cheaply and enjoy them at least!

Im going to try to use either heat lamps or hot oil. Its something I have not attempted yet however it's something id like to learn to do. I will probably practice on an old wrecker of a gun (or two) first before attempting this one. Im aware the semi pistol grip will make it tougher and that I'll need to bend that tang too, theres only a small amount of r/h cast, so it wont need too much movement... hopefully that makes it easier!

I also miss the Bosher ad's, id had a couple of guns from him myself. To keep on topic with this thread, something I obtained on the weekend. A Fred Williams hammer. How can you say no? I'm a leftie, its nearly straight but I'm going to maybe try some stock bending with it when I get chance.

PM'ing you!

Is the action tight? Also is there any signs of pitting in the barrels?

Ive been using a 30" Gold E sporter for a year or so now. I've got on with it well and fail to see the attraction for a new Beretta equivalent currently. With such second hand bargains about currently, there's lots to enjoy. And to keep this on topic, id have been interested in this gun if it were left handed myself. Ive one of these in r/h that my lady or occasional newbie may use and its a nice well built gun.

I was listening to Radio 4 earlier, the amount of bias felt rather unjust indeed.
