  1. Thats what its like for me, I keep putting it off but its always there in the back of my head. Mine was only a 125 but i just loved it
  2. Biking will be my backup hobby for when Sir Kier has removed my shooting hobbies Id love my full bike licence and used to have a honda cg125 which seemed bullet proof. Ive had plenty of friends in the past who are bikers and there seems to be a real good community with it. All the best with it and enjoy!
  3. You're right, I'll definitely bear that in mind in future!
  4. Yes this all sounds like my local gunsmith described. It'd still fire Hull cartridges though but not the Fiocchis. I nipped out today and gave the mishaped ones to the local police to dispose of along with approx 50 rusty old cartridges (of which I went through and cleaned the best ones up and used) I'll bet they'll go down as a crime statistic along the lines of "50 Deadly Shotgun Bullets taken off the street by Cheshire Police" ha ha
  5. This is funny as I literally had issues with a few Fiocchi's with my b25 on the bottom barrel ha ha, although once i had it sorted they went off ok. Apparently it was years of grime build up was stopping the pin
  6. I have not, I've just swapped back to Hull Ive shot thousands of hulls over the years and not a one has malfunctioned. Maybe ive been lucky. I also only use Hull game cartridges nowadays too. I did like the Fiocchi TT1's in 28g though.
  7. One out of a batch also had a fibre wad stuck halfway down the barrel after the shot. Luckily we noticed the odd noise and checked
  8. These were all out of approx 1000 - 2000 cartridges. There were others that I managed to shoot and a few that went off with little recoil too. I've long since stopped using them, and found these while having a clear out. I suppose its a reminder to try to be vigilant with what you stick in yer' barrels
  9. Inwas tempted but personally felt the entry was a tad dear plus I know I'll end up spending too much ontop of that ha ha Hope it was a blast for all that went
  10. Im probably wrong but im bieng optimistic. There's approx 500,000 shotgun cert holders in the uk (google tells me) As well as us lot, there's plenty of folk connected to shooting that won't necessarily shoot themselves. Perhaps, seeing how unpopular he is currently getting, messing with such things and turning another up to 1m (I said I was bieng optimistic) people away from Labour for the next general election will keep things as they are. I appreciate alot of folk who are connected to shooting do not vote Labour already, but that doent mean its all of us at all. Again, just me bieng hopeful
  11. Crikey, There were some horrors in WW1. Well its all part of history. Good luck with your sale and thanks for entertaining my curiosity!
  12. Hello, I don't wish to derail your thread, but what was the purpose of these? Or was the intended use for the original article exactly as I'm imagining... Ive just never seen one is all
  13. And this is what I was originally getting at. Ive not cast my eye other this thread for a day or two but rescuing perfectly good guns like this was my original point. I'd love a good look through a pile of these old scrappers
  14. True, ah well... Still a waste :p
  15. 3k? 2k on a gun and 1k on clays and ammo so you can get out and enjoy it! It seems a buyers market for second hand guns. As others have said, get the gun you've been shooting well. I know ive bought guns that look pretty and cost lots and at the end of the day, I've never shot any better with them. For me, beretta, miroku, browning etc, i all shoot to a similar standard. If I've begun to struggle, its been me, not the gun.
