This is probably a stupid question, but I picked up 12 shell pigeon decoys and two flocked crows at the Midland Game Fair today, and tomorrow I was going to have a go at decoying under the flight line onto my field. At the moment I dont have any permissions over crops, its all grazing land. Will they take any notice? Or is this a waste of time!! Thanks in advance lads and ladies

Im fairly new to shooting but like to think Im safe, conscientious, and willing to learn Have got SGC and am BASC registered/insured. If anyone has any shooting around Abergavenny/Hereford/Monmouth/Merthyr/Neath sort of areas, feel free to give me a shout! Also have a 'go anywhere' defender and a good lamp, if needed!

Ive got a 1986 mkII golf which is my daily drive, and a 1985 defender 90. also a series IIa which is currently having a comlete rebuild!! The German has got cobra bucket seats, full stainless exhaust, lowered 60mm and has a whole load of stereo in the back! 90 is a general work horse and off road toy, is jacked up about 4", bucket seats, winch, cb, and a few other toys

I need all the help/pointers/advice I can get!! I had a lesson with Andrew Groombridge just after I got my SGC, he's awesome! Where do you shoot?

but as I never actually wrote a hello post, I figured its better late than never! Im Jo age 26 from Abergavenny, South Wales. I drive trucks on the continent for a living (Its not as glamorous as it sounds!). I only got into shooting in January 2011, and got my SGC and guns in May. I mostly rough shoot when Ive got the time, and have a few permissions local to me. Would love to have a go at pigeon shooting/decoying, but have no idea where to start!! Am looking for some gun clubs in South Wales that might do driven days etc, any ideas? recommendations? Anyway, I have included a gratituous pic of myself and my truck!

Have bought a manual trap off ebay, but am limited as to where I can use it!! I own 8 acres of my own land, which is fine for knocking over the occasional rabbit, but as we have neighbours on all sides, it wont be long before they get pretty annoyed with the noise :-S My permissions are all grazing, and dont want the mess on the fields, which is a fair comment IMO So if anyone has anywhere to use a clay trap, give me a shout and I'll bring it down for a play!
