  1. Never got past their sweet tushes mmmmm
  2. Which legislation would they come under then ? ++ = > Deer are wild animals (unless part of a farmed herd), so are not covered by that legislation.
  3. So far as I can make out ? >> The Highways Agency is responsible for "removing" and disposing of injured or dead creatures from the roads. but > If the 'creature' is a wild animal, that is, defined as any animal not "kept" by a human, so squirrels, rabbits, pheasants, hares and badgers are probably 'safe' to collect and 'use'; assuming they not suspected of having an infectious disease. however> The most relevant regulation is the EU Animal By-Products Regulation. So, animals that are owned, however, must be disposed of according to EU rules - which usually means they have to be processed and incinerated. This includes pets, circus animals, and farm animals. It would, therefore, not be legal to eat them.
  4. If memory serves - The persons "using" the footpath/bridal way/road MUST USE IT - i.e. keep moving -- on your part -- you MUST NOT imped their progress ... (precedent case law) If you are "using" the footpath/bridal way/road then you have to follow the 'rules' ; covered/unloaded gun.(Firearms Acts etc.) If you are "using the land", then use it wisely .... if you shoot across or walk across the 'rights of Way'
  5. I use a cell about a foot square to top up my electric fence on the pen.. you NEED some form of 'control' .. I have used this one for 5 years with no problems = http://www.selectronic.fr/article.asp?article_ref_entier=11.1420-9999 you will see that it has inputs for 2 12v solar cells - to charge a car battery you really need 15+ volts - that is a VERY bright sunny day - and you've missed it for this year you will notice ; if you search the site - that a 12volt 60watt solar cell costs 490,00 € :o that's a dim headlamp bulb you will NEVER get your money back !! only a 'helping hand' to keep your battery topped up >> buying a second battery and swapping them over is a far better bet, "like wat I do", with my lowish cost cell the battery last about 8 weeks. ( PS - the Maplin ones are short lived )
  6. Skunk - it looks like a fat ferret that's been 'reassigned'
  7. probably here ---> http://www.pelapapas.com.mx/htmls/capturar_palomas_en.html
  8. pop down to Maplins - (on line ? ) they do just the thing you need .......
  9. OK Dave - back on planet - let me have your mobile - will be down there next week - do you work / retired - hope to see you / both ?? weekday evening / weekend ? give us a clue ?? Donald

  10. I use the bottom 3 inches of the tubs that cattle/sheep feed comes in .. 12 > 15 inches across - VERY SAFE to recyle ( oh - you have to cut it off yourself , I use folding garden saw / keep the cutting angle shallow or it shatters )
  11. yes -sorry for delay - been up at farm sorting birds out etc. off for this weekend now - will contact next week - Donald

  12. This years birds are to wood and doing well. We are still 'looking' for someone and their dog - Please PM as soon as possible
  13. Out of interest - my wife's Certificate is "the same" as mine = i.e. she OWNS the guns listed on it = I also OWN the SAME shotguns that listed on mine simples also - our three Certs. are all "co-terminus" ( that inc. my FAC on same date keeps cost down ) reason = if she carries any of 'our' guns in person or in a car - she is 'covered - (and in the untimely death of either of us - we are 'covered' )
  14. Nestle Condensed Milk butties - dipped in the sugar bowl -- then a Robertson's thick cut marmalade one - - heaven -- You had to collect (10 of the paper one's I think) of the Golliwogs off Golden Shred Marmalade jar to get a metal badge one.
  15. a quick web search of images show them both likely to be boxlocks Sidelocks look like this =
  16. as above - usually they have a "coating" of white on them after a frost or two (no - not the frost!) that makes them change from shiny black to a dull grey ... 2 lb sloes - pricked or burst 2 lb sugar 2 bottle vodka (better than gin - really) all into a wine making 2 1/2 litre 'Winchester' - shaken everyday till the sugar has dissolved - then left in warm/dark place for 2 months
  17. this may be a clue as to it's origin - Wild rabbits moult twice a year. Many moulting rabbits have a noticeable "tide mark", and if you blow into the fur at the moult line the skin appears dark in colour where the new hairs are growing through. just a thought
  18. http://www.gunspares.co.uk/shopdisplaycategories.asp?id=24287&cat=Airsporter
  19. Aigle Parcours - 3 types 1 = plain summer wellies 2 = Vario - side gussets for "big boys" 3 = iso - neoprene winter wellies you will never look back they seem to last for ages - 10 year !! and are designed for 'walking' in - very comfy and great grip in ice / mud etc. If you feel like pushing the boat out - look at Le Chameau Chasseur Boots
  20. pigeonstool

    Samphire

There's plenty around Parkgate / Gayton Sands area -- looks like this It would go well with one of these If you know how to catch one
  21. Maybe help -- wipe the wax of any sub-sonic rounds - Winchester used to 'stick' in mine.. or better still - use "full" rounds and a moderator .. and as above keep it CLEAN ! tiz a great bunny bashing carbine, faultless using the EAGLE 2230 (30 round magazine)
  22. Sounds like your LONG RANGE shots are a bit TOO long range - and the round is tumbling (head over tail - not spinning round) The tip is to assist the round to 'mushroom' thereby releasing it's energy to cause 'trauma' and death QUICKLY. Get closer ! ! ! and I agree - I don't want to see blood and gore - I am sure others don't either -
