  1. The reason for suggesting Fleet Marston originally was the fact that it appeared to be roughly central to most of the posters that were showing an interest in meeting up with other PW members, not to whether it was the best venue in Bucks or not. I just thought it would be good to meet a few local posters whose posts I have read over past months. If some us "click" after the first meet, it's probable that a second meet at a more inspiring shoot could be arranged. I accept it may not be the best shoot in the area and the dates suggested were a bit short notice, but it's a couple of hours or so on a Sunday for not a great outlay and a chance to put some names to faces and you can laugh at the small number of clays that I manage to hit!
  2. As PhilR says not a great response I had hoped there might have been a few more voters... who knows perhaps there maybe a few more takers once the date has been confirmed? So can we take it that Sunday 4th March is the more popular date? What's the next step with the poll, does it have to be locked or does it just die after a period of time? What time to meet 9.45? How do we recognise one another, pheasant feather behind each ear, hand on one hip? B.
  3. All the best Bob, I wish you a speedy and full recovery, Regards, Rob.
  4. I'd second that recommendation. P.R.A. Moxon (same fella) another book of his "Training the Roughshooter's Dog" I found to be worth reading. Probably available in your local library. ISBN 1-85310-501-5 is the catalogue # Good luck with your training.
  5. Dogsy1 that's a great offer, I'm sure you're about to be flooded with willing shooters. Thanks for your vote and welcome to Pigeon Watch, it can get quite lively on here. Bluebar.
  6. Bakerboy, Thanks for your good wishes. The home and away shoot and beer is a great suggestion. We just need to tempt the fellas in and around the Bucks area to do the biz and vote for one or both of the dates suggested. Bucks boys young or old, are you there? It's my only chance to be allowed out!
  7. PhilR thanks for your support, I just hope I haven't upset the original poster (Unapalomablanca), it was never my intention to highjack his topic, I seem to have got a bit carried away..... :look: no offence intended
  8. As suggested, a poll to choose a date for a meet at Fleet Marston near Aylesbury.
  9. I can do 19th Feb or 4th March, I've no idea how a poll is organised
  10. Looks like a Toyota with Pimp My Ride Hooters!
  11. Hi Fenny, Which area was the most productive, in the field or the roost shoot? I'm guessing it wasn't the warmest day out, you've ever had? Bluebar.
  12. Looking at the locations of most the posters in this topic, Fleet Marston is roughly central. I've no idea what it's like but if suits everyone I'd be willing to give it a go. I think the next two available dates (Sundays) are 19th Feb and 4th March. I'm just running this up the flagpole to see if anyone salutes?
  13. Hi, I'd be up for a meet anywhere within reason, shoot (often badly) at Prestwood fairly regularly, I know it's come in for a bit of stick in the past but since Christmas there's been a few changes to the stands and it's quite well priced, but I would welcome trying other grounds and breaking cover for a meet up.

  15. Bob, I'm not able to access Suzuki data at the moment, so not too sure on the fuse. Don't want to get too geeky, but C-Max wiring diagram lists 20amp for front/rear Cig/lighter or power outlet; the rear power outlet depending on model spec can be 25amp in some instances but is usually 20amp. R.
  16. Hi Bob, Most Ford cigar/power outlets in the past were fitted with 15amp (blue) but recent models have moved to using 20amp. We did frown at first but the wiring sizes have apparently been increased as well. If a 10amp fuse is surviving with your everyday use that's fine, which model do you have Bob? Rob.
  17. You're very welcome, nice easy one!! Rob.
  18. Hi, The fuse you're looking for is no22 (20amp mini blade fuse) in the Central Junction Box (or CJB). The CJB is behind the glove-box inside the car, lefthand side. Open the glove-box lid fully. On either side of the glove-box are two rubber stops that limit the amount the lid can open, press inwards to the centre of the glove-box to enable it to be lowered fully. Look into the area behind it and you'll see an oblong fuse box facing you. Top row, 3rd or 4th from the right is the fuse. Use long nose pliers to carefully pull it out, hold up to the light and if it's blown there will be a gap in fuse link. Ford dealer or carparts shops will stock the fuse, less than a quid each, good luck, hope this make sense. Bluebar.
  19. That's a nice bit of kit, you must be well chuffed!!
  20. In our workshop these symptoms are usually caused by front drive-shaft CV joints assemblies worn or partially siezed, invariably one or both the inner CV's although it can be outer joints. If the joints have rubber boots check them for small splits/pinholes, if it is possible to remove the clips/clamps that secure them, carefully rolling them back may enable you see if water ingress has ocurred. Before you do this establish first, that refitting them securely is possible. On a couple of occasions cleaning out the offending joint and repacking with suitable grease has extended the serviceable life of the CV. Obviously excessive wear will probably require renewal. Just my slant on this, hope this helps.
