  1. cant get letting off shotguns or FA in the back yard can we ? I thought it was legal to shoot air rifles in your own back yard if the pellet stays in your boundary.... As for shooting vermin im unsure of whether thats legal in your own back yard so i cant really comment Good shooting anyways
  2. Yes and no..................give a yard take a mile, or at least thats what i did merry xmas
  3. Will consider 2 as i assume you will want to sell them as a set? But has anyone got any spares hanging around they wouldnt mind getting shut of ? Cash waiting !!!
  4. Thanks....saved me some money there chap ! Ill nip in to the shop tomorrow and sort my self out with a swivel and a stud
  5. Thanks Neil & Babby, My gun doesnt have a screw attachment in the end...so it looks like the a barrel clamp or the different mag tube cap from the above links. Ill have a look in my local gun shops. If not i may take the end of my magazine cap to an engineering company for them to "tap" a screw link into it... could anyone do this on here at cost in the new years ?
  6. well done... you look chuffed Is the gun a browning pump ?
  7. Hi...... Sorry i keep on about it, its a right laugh. Where would be the best place to fit the studs ? the obvious place would be the stock and the forearm....but witht the forearm being pumped and moved about.....im not sure its the best place. Is there anyway to attach the sling to the barrel ? Any help appreciated. Reed
  8. ive just bought Winchester 1200 that uses the same action and looks like the same barrel. Definatly recommended!!!! good luck with the sale
  9. Thanks for the comments alex I think i got the gun at a decent price so if i do get fed up of it ill hopefully be able to sell it on with out a loss......the pumping action can be done though with the head on the stock but can appreciate your comment on moving your arms like a mad man!!!! Ill be off to a local clay ground this coming Sunday (if its open!) to see how it is with 2 high fast birds to see if it really does effect my accuracy that much inbetween shots whilst pumping...no doubt i will blame it soleley on the gun as its never me at clays....its always the gun/the clays/the cartridges/the chokes....never me....never As for shooting pigeons....the ones round me must have some force field which makes them impossible to hit....again, its never me! But as you say one of the main reasons was for the fun factor.....but as long as im enjoying my shooting ill still get out there weekend after weekend
  10. and when i mean rough i mean....crawling through hedges. Something i generally couldnt give a toss about with the stock / blueing etc
  11. I allready have a O/U....i only wanted a pump action for a rough gun and at £120 i thought it was a steal for the great condition its in....i hear that auto's can be awkard and can often be clogged on the gas ports To be honest i looked at semis and all i wanted was a realible gun what could cycle any load you put through it, doesnt jam and is as reliable as they come (touch wood!)......why do you think the military and police seem to use pump action over semi auto in most cases ? that kind of swayed me towards the pump! The pump i have is supposed to be the fastest pump ( or was at time of production! ) and after trying this in the field you can easily squeeze off the 3 shots in 2-3 seconds.....it seems to me to be as quick as any semi i have shot ( all one of them! ) im happy with it though The best part about it......is the fun factor !!! may sound childish but i dont think ill ever get over the "chick chick" sound it makes......small things for small minds i suppose
  12. ignore the last post....the magazine will be crimped !!!
  13. My license means a lot to me...i dont intend to lose it over something like this so i will not be carrying it out...as stated in my first post!! I am applying for a FAC though...IF i was to put down on a variation for a 5shot SG....would i be able to carry it out myself (if i could, as before im rubbish with mechanics etc) or would this have to be undertaken by a gun smith ? just asking questions out of interest
  14. Below is a link to a instruction manual for a new gun i have just purchased...Winchester 1200 pump action. its a PDF file and its quite big so may take a while to load. http://media.winchesterguns.com/pdf/om/model1200_om_s.pdf Notice how it gives clear step by step instructions how to "remove" the plug so the magazine will hold 5 shots rather than 2. Isnt this a little irresponsible? before anyone starts throwing accusations about....i wont be doing this !!! 1. becausei like my freedom and dont think jail would really be my thing.... 2. Due to my youth i think i would be used as money in jail 3. My hands have never got dirty so therefore my mechanical knowledge is zero ( im serious here ! ) What are your thoughts on this ?
  15. especially on a well used "tight knit" forum........i dont get it ?! 5 months ? give your FAO a call....i did and he managed to push it forward for me
  16.
