Ok, so I have a .22lr on an open ticket and have had a licence about 8 yrs. I just put in to Cambs for a variation for a .243 for fox and deer (I have the suitable land perm for this) and I've been told that without a dsc or having been out with someone 1/2 dozen times who is willing to sign me off as competent I have no chance! So, is there anyone in Cambridge area who is able to let me come out with them a few times so I can get my .243? Big ask I know but there's nothing else I can do! Thanks, Chr15j

I bought a Fuji bridge, and took it back as salesman rightly said its a commitment camera, ie not a shove in pocket convenient camera. I couldn't be bothered with the faff of the space it took etc. unless you're happy with the commitment get a decent compact. Oh and apparently bridge cameras were really only sold for the Olympic Games, for those in stands wanting to take close ups, otherwise he claimed there to be little practical application for them.
