    I have some 10mm steel sheet if you need and could plasma cut it into two strips

  5. Ill informed or using the wrong vehicle, theres nothing wrong running a landrover with a 200 or 300tdi on veg, even the Tdi will run if you want it to. The newer ones wont though! TD5 are fussy as are TD4's and the older ones aren't tough enough pump wise Once its mixed with derv its essentially bio so beats the system, you can run on 95% oil and 5% petrol or derv if you really want, its the way I've done it for a few years now, the way to beat it is simply to carry a spare £3 filter in the back of the vehicle and then when you start to feel the car begin to get sluggish change the filter over takes 2 mins and no tools on a 300 which is also an auto bleed system and at a saving of 50p per litre its worth it, the fuel is generally mixed with mentholated spirits and potassium something cant remember the compound but thats how you strip the fats out of it, and then if running without messing about just use non foaming agent stuff

  9. I use Texaco, supermarket fuel is rubbish! Pay 2p more a litre and get better performance and better power back

  12. not got any new ish stuff most of the kit I have for imperial is off ebay so proper oldschool ones which are super chunky!
  13. Cheers engines are simple enough when you have the right size spanners, a good dose of brute force and a lot of space haha the back of the pickup seemed sensible seeing as it was sat there anyway
  14. all have a life time warranty tbh although with that said at this price if I was wanting metric I'd go for these but I work in imperial so britool are generally easier to find
  15. Fraid not just dropped £200 today on a new clutch and flywheel for the V8 alongside a massive chunk earlier in the year :o In short I is very skints
  16. Debatable I like Britool and Teng more tbh, they're generally chunkier which suits me better especially the ratchets!

  19. the others are more or less bald too, couple on the front are down a few mill, back ones as you say are wasted and mid ones were worn and chipped
  20. Took it into the workshop and got it a quick look over…….three of the lobes are nubs!

Going to soak all the big ends in WD 40 before putting them on properly, little teflon tape instead of loctite as it was a right bitch to get a few of the bolts undone! Had to put the spanner on then kick it to break some of the threads Will do a rebuild later in the year once I get the new engine sorted and the interior finished off, hoping to have it ready to go for MOT in rough state in a couple of weeks
