  1. Any trades for it mate ? You're not too far from me
  2. Double! ? I'd say at least five times, they offered £500 for my disco and its done 82k from new
  3. Ahhh didn't know that company existed think I'll order some fire bricks from them looking at the price!
  4. 3 phase is no use to me, needs to be single or able to be jumped to single will get more than 200A no problem, live in an industrial house with 32A plugs and can get a 60A circuit wired in so I can get into the high power no probs
  5. The clarke ones aren't cheap chinese jobbies They're £275 new! If you wanted to go all out you could buy a new ram from machine mart at £60 and that would have the whole warranty on it but as I said its literally just one seal that needs doing, I just don't have the time or inclination to do it Oh and it'd be less than £130 if I was running it over for fuel cost anyway Just to prove it http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cfc1000-1-t-econ-folding-workshop-cran
  6. I've got a Clarke CFC 1000 Strongarm one, it needs the bung seal replacing as it weeps from there so if using I'd replace that. Seal kit for a full refurb is only £25 posted from machinemart but I just don't have a use for the crane atm as I've finished my engine swap and wont need one again for long time so no use cluttering the garage when I could use funds towards a new welder Was looking to get £130 posted for it but as you're not that far away and wanted it I could run it over for fuel cost if which shouldn't be too bad in my golf as I get about 45mpg on back roads with a heavy load in the boot or meet halfway ?
  7. Fancy an engine hoist too ? If you're working on a 4x4 I'd suggest some 6pt sockets if you don't already have a set and some bolt and stud extractors
  8. I have some forged ones
  9. Does that work ? Would have thought it would be better putting it in just pure water and let osmosis take place to try and balance the salt content between them ?
  10. Miller or Murex preferably Let me know if you have anything that'll run off normal single phase mains or can be jumped to run off it

Makes for a good liquid lunch add in pork scratchings and you're on for a good day!
  12. I don't rate x-eng, all their stuff looks overpriced IMO then again being in an engineering workshop all day you get to know how to make these things and how much steel is actually put into it etc etc Their spot lights are total ****
  13. Ground anchor is a ground anchor tbh buy what you like the look of and which one looks sturdy! Personally I quite like the military spike ones or D44 seem to get a good write up but expensive!
  14. I'da still gone for a second hand Warn 8274 Not a bad winch but a very good second hand is always better than half decent new one IMO
  15. oooh tempted but an hour and a half drive from me
  16. may have been universal to save costs
  17. Depends how much has been put in, if its like 5L and then topped up with petrol all the way it should be ok If not then probably some new plugs, cant see it doing too much unlike petrol in a derv which eats pump diaphragms
  18. I wouldn't bother with them, for £500-£600 if thats your budget buy a Warn 8274 off ebay or a husky superwinch with wire rope and it will never let you down!
  19. think you get a grace period of two weeks now or something like that ? EIther way if you want to be safe sorn it online then tax it at the post office after MOT no admin charges so its cool
  20. Tiger is a good entry level winch, warn is an upmarket entry. Your call on that The small fairlead is for plasma rope ONLY! The big one is for steel ONLY! Pulley is as it sounds its a pulley, with a few of them and some smart mechanics you can tow yourself backwards whilst winching forwards As to a snatch block it basically just doubles the line up so you can double the pull of the winch but halve the speed
