  1. I've never left a spent cartridge behind. Sometimes if I'm shooting quickly I will use the ejectors providing my cartridges are landing in the open so I can find them. Otherwise they are ejected into my hand and popped into my pocket. Anyone incapable of doing this does not deserve to be trusted with a firearm. :)

I sympathise with the semi users but I have a suggestion. I think I saw for sale somewhere in the shooting mags a while back an extendable stick (the size of a pencil when not extended) with a magnet on the end which will speed up the process of collecting spent cartridges. Although I don't know at what range it will pick them up at so may not be of much use if you can't actually see the cartridge.

However, plenty of people are quick to moan about spent cases left lying around (and rightly so) but I wonder if any of these people use plastic wads when an identical fibre load is available... :good:

    FM ;)

Thats one of my pet hates PLASTIC WADS we always pick up after ourselves and if we do see any empties laying around we know we have had visitors,we even pick up the wads when we see them because they soon build up in the driven areas and if we dont they will still be there 12 months later.

  3. I have to agree with you, some aspects have been worrying me for sometime now. Unfortunately I am a self confessed cynic although blessed with a sense of reasoning which helps to keep a balanced outlook on life

The Portugese police handling of the investigation was flawed to say the least and the little girl slipped the net by the time they had got their backsides into gear,I to am uncomfortable with the parents behaviour which is more than a little strange, the other question is just who is caring for the other children throughout all this globetrotting?

I sincerly believe there will be a twist to the kidnapping and dissappearance, I think we all need some form of closure on this

with the persons responsible found and brought to justice.

    :( D2D

Further developments being the finding of what might be blood on the wall of the apartment, found and now being analysed by the BRITISH police! The Portugese police at best can only be descibed as amatures to have missed this?

I read somewhere that on the night she dissappeared there were roadworks nearby and some holes were filled in that very next morning, yet they have not been excavated to rule out the awful possibility.........

All along I have not been entirely comfortable with the parents behaviour, lets hope the truth comes out soon and justice is seen to be done as befits this terrible crime.

  4. Who is the greatest shooter ever?

George Digweed, Richard Faulds, John Bidwell, AJ Smith, Barry Simpson???

    My Dad :lol::lol:

Seriously I dont understand why the smilys at Archie Coates he was one of the truely great shooters of our time, maybe a different era but he has earned is place among the hallowed.

  5. I bought quite a few warrener videos from different sources a few years back and some turned out to be copies, I watched them once or twice, since then they have sat on the shelf, something to think about before spending large amounts of money?

The book by Robert Bucknell is IMO far more informative and better value if its technique and equipment info anyone is after.

  6. Unfortunately, arthroscopies are just stop gap operations until the joint wears out IMO.

I had five of them on my right knee over the years and the benefit never lasted that long.

Eventually had it replaced in 2005, best thing I ever did.

  7. Hi!!

Saturday morning shooting pigeons I found I could hit the ones coming in high or towards me but the fast left to right were getting away every time, where am I going wrong??? Any tips would be gratefully recieved. As a bit of background I have been practising on clays and have a fairly good hit average, but whenn they have feathers I'm stuffed

Also the chap I shoot with says the comb on my stock is too high for my podgey face, could this be causing problems??

    Thanks guys

the ones coming to you are the easy one!!!!!!!:yes::) :yp:

and a bad workman always blame his tools :P

most crossign shots are missed by shooting behind........and as my dear old grandad used to say..." GIV EM PLENTY OF LEED LAD"

And my old Dad used to say "bum.. belly..beak..bang" and started with the bum bit as he swung through the tail feathers and said it steadily by the time he got to bang he was always out in front, and yes he could shoot very well.

  8. he now has eight kids in a three bedroom house. And low and behold he hates this country, would like to see it as a muslim state and despises the west. Rhymes with tanker :D

So why on earth doesn't he move to a muslim country if he hates it so much here?

That's what I can't understand, if you don't like it then **** off some where that you do.

What quite worries me is that a lot of people moving to this country have large familes with many kids, while most British familes have only 2 or 3 so what is going to happen 50 - 100 years down the line, perhaps we will be a muslim state by then.

I havnt read all of the thread yet because Im wound up already, this fair country of OURS is becoming an unpleasant place in which to live, iffy going out late at night in parts of the cities, born free and taxed to death all to pay for the likes of the whinging *** with the eight kids. In 50 years or so it will be a job to find a pure bred native of the uk, they will all have a little bit of a tint,My belief is that the worst is yet to come, my daughter 24 and aparently more streetwise than me told me that in the clubs gangs of muslim lads were out to get as many white girls pregnant as possible.... now whats that all about? :)

 D2D ( first time ever)

Ps like all communities there are good people and I have met some really nice muslims, but then the majority are another story.

  9. Very Good Video that, there was 1 risky shot that i could see but apart from that an excellent vid :(

Shooting through a wire fence is not such a good idea IMO, but otherwise some excellent clean shots.

Interesting that the .22 (with mod) caused so much disturbance maybe the land is shot over quite often and the bunnies high tail it just as soon as they hear a shot. Most times its possible to drop a couple before they realise whats going on.

Good vid thanks for sharing it.

  10. I hope you've packed up telling jokes.

personally i think berettaman is great value :)

but should have a PINTOMETER at the bottom of his posts so we know how sloshed he was at time of typing :P :yp:

Very funny, I agree we need characters like berettaman, his jokes were not brill :D , but his enthusiasm has seen him through some pretty harsh responses, well done to him. :o

    Hi all,

Has anyone fitted a more powerfull bulb, if so which one did you fit? (I resisted putting Watt one  well nearly)

Also has anyone taken it apart to lubricate the gears etc? Was it easy or did you get left with headache?
