  1. im sure there will be a civil war here before i die

Well Im sure there are enough "able" men available who know one end of a rifle from the other to form a militia, my mossy is never too far away that I cant get it within a very short time..... getting back to the blaggers thread?

I agree that something will take off and a situation will develop that involves our militant bros Im just suprised it hasnt already started. Driving through parts of London you would think you were in another country apart from the street names.

On the radio I actually heard a minister say that we had fallen behind with the housing program and were failing to provide sufficient housing for the number of immigrants arriving. Yet the families of some of our service personel are living in substandard MOD property without adequate facitities.

No wonder so many of our Sagalouts are opting to live abroad, taking their not insignificant "grey pounds" with them.

Conversly the family of a Polish immigrant are being sent benefits at home while he works here, daft or what?

Thats it for now, not a rant just my observations, I do think Berettaman has a point.

Makes no odds its all good stuff

  3. please god tell me they aint giving you a shotgun! :good:

Have to agree with you, the thought is quite scarey BUT I know of a group of lads (squaddies) and lasses(they are medics) who are currently in Afgan, they behave in much the same way, as our friend, yet are out there in the thick of it :P .

We are of a different generation and they say Im "old skool" , dont quite know how to take that but we get on fine.

    LANDY'S FAILED IT's MOT

If you own a Landy you really must expect this and just quietly pour yourself a stiff double or three and take it like a man,

dont whinge about it just think about getting it repaired AND FLOGGING IT, once on the annual slope of failed mots theres no hope for your wallet

Ive been there with series 2,s and 3,s just going through my 2nd Defender. Had all the Jap **** and they are worse when they get older!! Parts cost an arm and a leg if you can get them in UK :P

At least there are mountains of bolt on spares for Landys its the crud thats the killer.

    Good luck with the re-test.

  5. Ive used live catch traps to catch squirrels loads in woodland and i normally bait them with bounty bars. One half of a bounty should do 3 traps. i put a tiny bit in the doorway and a bigger bit behind the plate.

I also found i had to put something in the entrace because i kept catching pheasants.

But as said rsrjerry seems the chap to speak to.

But do you suck the chocolate off first?

What a waste of Bounty bars yum!! :good:

  10. Hello there, this may be a daft question but is there a shampoo i should use on my dog as she smells like ****. I have seen different types in pet shops but was wondering if everyday use stuff will do ?? cheers in advance for any replies

She may smell ,orrible but be careful you dont shampoo her too much in winter so she loses all the oil in her coat and has reduced protection against cold water etc.

I have seen aftershave labelled "wet gundog" anyone brave enough to try it? B)

  13. In the news this morning there are reports that 1 in 5 adults in the uk know where they can buy illegal guns ;) , where do these guns originate from? Some of them from burglaries where the owner has been indiscreet or bragging down the pub maybe.

Oh dear………….sounds like you have been brainwashed along with the rest of the population. <_<

This is just the sort of **** that the ACPO and the GCN like to come up with in order to try and get legally owned guns banned. When pistols were legally owned, this BS was constantly being pushed forward as a reason to get rid of private ownership, and it didn’t matter one jot that it wasn’t true… ……it made good headlines.

The Home Office actually published their own figures a few years ago which showed that @97% of all ILLEGAL guns were coming in from abroad (Baltic states etc) and that only @ 3% were ever LEGALLY owned.

This figure has actually GONE DOWN and the number of guns stolen for crime is so small as not to even be of any real significance.

This very argument was proposed by a SMP a week or so ago. So please don’t give the silly man credence by actually agreeing with his drivel. :yp:

    G.M.

G Im far from brainwashed and certainly not paranoid what I said was that IMO I could see no point in displaying a collection, a particularly nice gun maybe,

I dont make up the news but was suprised at the figure given whether its true or not I wouldnt know. Just the same as your opinion that the number of stolen guns has actually gone down where does that info come from?

Obviously in America/Canada they have a different view of guns but here we have far more restrictions to contend with, I have been asked several times over the years if I have any "old" shotguns I want to sell B) , I certainly dont believe that there isn,t a ready market for guns no matter how they were obtained.

Your last remark is patronising to say the least, best remember we are on the same side. :D

    D2D

  14. These are only my feelings and no doubt others will feel differently, I am not comfortable with showing the collection of weapons I keep at my house, I know we are supposed to be secure with our usernames etc but still can see no real reason to post pics, we all know what they look like, the exception being maybe someone has a particularly nice looking outfit they have put together and want to share it with us and rightly so.

In the news this morning there are reports that 1 in 5 adults in the uk know where they can buy illegal guns  , where do these guns originate from? Some of them from burglaries where the owner has been indiscreet or bragging down the pub maybe.

As I said only my take on it.
