    Hi All, I have a set of 5 16 inch alloy wheels which I am told are for a Landrover Disco 2. They are in used condition with the usual cosmetic marks but no apparent damage. I bought them for the tyres which are now on my 300tdi. I have been told I can get £25 a wheel for scrap for the alloys, but I think that It would be a waste to scrap them. Anybody interested please let me know. I am not far from Chester for collection or could meet you somewhere, or post or deliver for a price, depending where you are. Cheers, Spitzer

    Rough shoot near Chester A brief outline of our DIY shoot, which I have run since 2004. Members: I limit numbers to 10 members with equal opportunity to shoot on the land. I have one vacancy at the moment. Farms: The land slopes down towards the Dee estuary and comprises two farms, a mixture of grazing, crops, ponds and woodland. The woodlands, copses and ponds have been fenced off as part of environmental improvements of the land and the cover is improving each year. The shoot members carry out improvement work each year; thinning trees making rides in the woods, improving ponds and so on. Each member receives a map, clearly showing the shoot boundaries. Access is very easy, as we are minutes away from the North Wales Expressway and not far from Chester. Pheasants: We raise pheasants from poults, July to September, and members can help with checking, feeding and predator control. We use static feeders with wheat from September which are positioned around the shoot. Shooting: The shooting is “open” to members for pigeon, crow and other vermin shooting. Just ring or text to let me know when you want to go out and again to tell me what the bag was at the end of your visit. When the farmer reports having trouble with woodpigeons, I text members to let them know. We have set organised shoot days October, November and December when we meet and shoot as two teams, alternating between standing and beating. As well as pheasants and ducks, the bag can include woodcock, pigeon, crows, rabbits, foxes and occasionally geese. The bag is shared between the members at the end of the shoot. Members can also stay for evening flight at our ponds. January is “open” for walked up game, wildfowl and vermin shooting on Saturdays and Wednesdays. (Duck flighting is limited to fortnightly to avoid overshooting). Dogs: Dogs are more than welcome and an asset! (There are sheep, cattle and horses, so god control is essential). Cost: £350 per year plus a one off joining fee in the first year of £30. We aim to have enjoyable days, shooting responsibly and in good company.     Hi all, An opportunity to join a rough shoot near Chester We are a friendly, rough shoot with 2 adjacent farms on the slopes of the Dee estuary, near Chester. Access is very easy, as we are minutes away from the North Wales Expressway. We have woodlands and copses, 2 pheasant pens, crops, and duck ponds. There is pigeon/crow decoying, both weekends and weekdays (just book on)and duck flighting in season. We rear and release some pheasants from poults using the two pens, and work to improve the woodland (for shooting) .     Hi all, Thanks for your replies. I will investigate some more for footprints and get a mink raft I think. These are full grown duck as well.     Hi all, We raise mallard on our small shoot in North Wales. We have two ponds, one by a river and one about 500 yards up a hill from the river (provides a good duck drive). Both ponds have islands and are about knee high in depth. Ducks on the bottom pond were very agitated one day, and I found a headless carcase floating on the water. (See pic) The breast was peeled off completely. This pond was abandoned by the duck and they are all on the top pond now. I have now found two more on the top pond, again beheaded and floating, with bits of damage around the carcase. I would suspect mink with the carcases floating on the water, but I have no experience of mink predation and would be grateful for your thoughts We found tracks of a mink 3 years ago, and shot one. No sign since and no duck predation before this month. Cheers, Spitzer

    Our shoot is well established and very experienced. We welcome safe, experienced guns and we also occasionally take in safe guns who are new to game shooting, and provide them with advice and support as wanted.     Rough Shooting near Northop in North Wales (easy access - 5 minutes from A55 expressway and not far from Chester.) We have two vacancies to join our small, friendly rough shoot which was established around 10 years ago. We rear and release pheasants each year and enjoy a few informal days in season on Saturdays/Wednesdays, as well as rough shooting year around. There are pheasants, wild duck, geese, snipe, woodcock, wood pigeon, and crows. Good pigeon shooting over crops / stubble in the Summer. We overlook the River Dee, and have good wooded areas & several flight ponds. Membership would suit safe guns looking for year round rough shooting with some informal organised shoot days in season. My dog would be most offended if you were a member of my shoot and didn't recognize him from his photo! Does your shoot sound similar to my advert?     Hi All, Anyone any ideas on this attack on a day old horse foal near Wrexham? Got to be dogs or maybe badger I think. Spitzer WARNING TO ALL. please share. Bwlchgwyn Wrexham Area This Foal was new born this morning on the Matheron Stud and at some point during the day while out in the field, it has been killed. With large wounds to its neck. This foal was by no means small and sharing the field with its mother and many other horses, what ever killed this foal must have been large and attacking during day light hours

    Hello, We have some opportunities for full and half Gun membership of our friendly game shoot in North Wales (about 15 minutes from Chester) . It is a stand and beat shoot, shooting on 8 Saturdays throughout the season with several pheasant drives on each shoot day. Ducks are driven over standing Guns and there are also woodcock on the shoot. Vermin is controlled through the year with good pigeon/crow shooting over crops, and rabbit shooting in the Summer months. The farms are pasture with some arable crops, plenty of hedgerows and several well placed woodlands. We also grow a cover crop and have two duck ponds. The land lies across 2 small valleys so the drives provide some challenging birds. We have two release pens and rear a few hundred pheasants and some ducks each year. There are voluntary work parties in the summer, a summer fun clay shoot and social, and an informal shoot dinner in January. We aim to have enjoyable shoot days with memorable birds, rather than just “how many are in the bag?”. Saying that, we do aim for and regularly get, bags of 30+ and make sure that every Gun has fair and equal opportunities to shoot. The shoot has improved and grown each year, and we are expecting this year to be even better again. The bag is shared at the end of the shoot day and everyone gets at least a brace to take home if they so wish. We have syndicate rules to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment of shoot days. Guns with dogs are preferred, but not essential as we also have some regular volunteer beaters. If you are interested please pm me and we can arrange to chat on the ‘phone and meet for a walk around the shoot before membership is offered/taken. Some PW guys are already members and I am sure that they will give you their views!     We have 1 bitch puppy and 2 dogs still available. 2 of the dogs have gone to the owners of a large shooting estate, which we are very pleased about, and will be working alongside our dogs in future seasons. At 8 weeks old we are getting very attached to them as their characters develop, but I have a few working dogs already and I have to be sensible. They are growing well, are wormed every 2 weeks and we now walk them on our fields, which they love. They come back to call as a group, and they are very happy little pups.

    Hi all, I have some English Springer Spaniel puppies for sale, dog puppies and bitches. Both parents are very biddable and work regularly on formal and informal shoots. We have three generations at home that can be seen. The pedigree includes Ftch Moonreed Flush and Ftch Clarburgh Art, Rytex and Badgercourt lines. Docked and dew clawed with full DEFRA paperwork, Microchipped and vet checked. Fully wormed, KC registered, with 4 weeks free insurance. Raised in the home and well handled. Well marked with strong liver markings and flecks, please see photos attached. Ready now 2 dogs and 2 bitches left. £400 each. We are near St Asaph, 25 minutes from Chester and easy to find from the A55 expressway.
