  1. Well guys this is a turn up for the books a bleeding big 1. I have just been away for a month in lovely north wales , house sitting with my fiance at her sisters house (nice place no internet acces hence the lack of posts from me in a while) while my future sister in law & her daughter were in canada visiting relatives for three weeks. A buddy of mine in my home town Broseley gives me a call at the begining of last week saying how desperate for work was I (as i was at the time unemployed) I tell him yeah just a bit, he then goes how quickly can I be back in telford cause he has just gone & got me a job working on the night shift at Grange fencing labouring & panel making so i say give me a fortnight. Now im rushing around like a mad sod getting things sorted so I can stay at my parents while looking for a place for me & the fiance. Then yeaster day my fiance tells me she is expecting our first child so this job has come at a seriously good time for us both. Even better i can start hunting on my days off again as im not stuck in some sea side town with no easy acces to go hunting also i might (finnaly) get around to putting in for my shotgun & firearm licences.

The only black rabbits I ever saw was when some a hole infected em with mixy & set them lose where we shoot for a hell of a long time we didnt see a rabbit with out mixy poor ****. :<
  3. They would be good for cyril at close quaters I have used bisely pest control on cyril & i find they bring him down hard.
  4. If in doubt bin it you dont know what you could get
  5. If your worried about plastic build up get the dynamic sn1 (.177) sn2 (.22) they are all tin construction hit hard & @ close range can sometimes over penetrate which is a bad thing & paying 8.99 for a box of 200 is expensive.

    Zeoring

Get a carboard box (x2) paste a target to them both set the first 1 out to 15-20 yards do your inital zeroing on this you will be able to see your pellet groups a lot better this way. Set the second box out to the distance you want to set your final zero at & zero away to your hearts content should save you a few pellets as well

Ouch that sounds a bit pricey for a can for an air rifle rimfire maybey but a pcp. I mean what the heck is it made out of carbon fiber? The air arms can is cheaper than that & is as quiet as hell to boot on an S200

No you never do forget your first rifle (Erm i cant think of my first real air rifle ) . The more you shoot a rifle the more you get used to all its little quirks & faults.

    M.A.R's

A friend of mine rang me up the other day & asked me if I had heard of loguns sweet 16 rifle. I said yes but didnt know zip about them. He then asked me had I heard of gun powers stealth. I said yes but again I hadnt really an knowledge on the subject of them either. When I asked him why he was intrested he told me that he saw both rfles and was intrested in getting one because they were modular take down rifles & seemed easier to take from place to place than a full sized pcp rifle. he then went in to the options that he could get for the above mentiond rifles. lazer bipod etc so to cut it short I said I would ask you guys the pros the cons & in general what you thought of them.
  16. I think you guys have seen Full metal jacket a tad few many times I also hope you have a good priest
  17. like wise I couldnt think of a name I had just been to game & purchased a game for the xbox the game was in a bag from Game hence Game Bag

    hw77

Ok the best thing for you to do is to take the rifle to the shop get the fella to take a look at strip it down & take a look at it see what he thinks about it I used to own a hw 77 so I know it should be knocking out 11.5 - 12ftlbs it could be the seals that have gone on the rifle, if thats the case it's a cheap job to do to replace them if its the main spring thats gone your looking at some money but for god sake make sure you get the right spring for the job if you get the wrong type of spring you could push your rifle over the legal limit 12 ftlbs. This will make your rifle an illegal wepon the law is seriously ing down on fire arms that are held illegaly & as the law has the ability now to check the ftlbs on an air rifle with any brand of pellet they chose you only have to be a .1 over the legal limit & your in serious trouble.
  19. Just out of curiosity & intrest what sort of ft Ilbs do you need to slot a rat I thought that the legal limit for air pistols are 6lbs??? surly you would need more than that to take ratty down

Ask Wookie he shoots falcon rifles I dont know what type though but he should be able to give you a fair idea of the falcon make. If you can trade for a rifle that you have tested & liked go for it m8 sounds like it will save you a fair few notes the FX2000 is almost twice the value of the hornet and the air arms s200.

Hmm sounds like it could be the main spring do you have any idea how old the rifle is? Also what calibre is it? What & how many brands of pellets did you use to test the chrony out?

The funny thing is vulcha I would class my self as a decent shot. yes you can get spare cylinders I think they retail at about £25-£35 but it depends on where you get them from. I had no problems with bolt when I tried my freinds rifle. As for scopes the choice is entirly yours I have never used the walther range of optics so I cant coment on them im afraid. Im not a big fan of illuminated retical scopes & when I have been out lamping with one attaced to a .22 rimmy. I found that as the guy I was lamping with was using a red fillter on it I kept losing the cross hair in the end I got soooo peved I turned the reticle illumination off & used it as normal. This does not mean that they dont have any uses they are good if you are in a dimly lit wood or even the odd barn where poor light means that you cannot see the cross hair properly.

Yeah but roumour has it that Air Arms are making a 10 shot adapter kit for the S200/200mk2 & also I have shot the S200 & found it very accurate over long range for its size & weight & is very quiet when used with a silencer & have plinked coke bottle tops at 35yrds using 3-9X40 Hawke sport scope & in my book thats blooming good also the rifle is nice & cheap in the deal so you can spend pennies saved on some thing else .

Air Arms S200 mk2 with a hawke varmit II either the 3-10X44 or the 3-12X44 scope if i had the cash (and any where to shoot it) thats what I would go for but thats just me at the end of the day if you have a local gun shop that stocks the hornet or any other air rifle that is with in your budget or takes your fancy go along & ask them to have a look at it feel the weight etc you never know till you try.
