Hi all, I would like to say thank you to Jdog, I was very lucky to be invited....me and 2 other Pw members, to the cotswold, for a day shooting over rape, 79 pigeons in total.....great company and a fantastic host, bitterly cold and spells of snow made the day even better, with strong wind from Nw....great sporting shooting. Hello all, I think that some young ones are missing the big point...like a elephant pi**ing on your nose, ITS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY NOR THE PEOPLE.....its about keeping a tradition, when you go out shooting its nice to look and see people well dressed, it dosen't matter if the trousers and jacket are made from girl fluff or whats over, you can buy a nice pair of moleskin trousers and a shirt with tie for less than £60, I know its a lot of money for some but think what you spend on one saturday night. Stupid example....at a funeral would you go in a white suit and a rainbow wig???.....NO you wouldn't, because there is a tradition, that your parents...grandparents and so on should have past on...a black suit or dark clothes to pay your respect. Its the same for shooting, its just a different form of respect. The people here that they say...I don't do and don'r want to do because of the posh nobs, does that means you are limiting yourself to go out in certain places???...non shooting occasions? I don't think so Knowone here its saying that you have to behave differently or else, just use courtesy...a smile...a please and a thank you, that should put you in a great position in life and in the shooting world. Mark

Hello All, This morning when seting off for work in my car, I realized that someone as been in my car. My fault for leaving the driver side window 1/2 inch open, trying to dry the car afetr the last muddy shoot days, I have heard that you can buy IP cameras and I'm interested in this type, also they have a motion alarm. Does any of you know them or had experience whit this type of cctv cam? Are they difficult to set up, so that you can view them via laptop or smatphone? I live in a cul de sac and my drive its round about 8 metres in lenght, so shouldn't be no problem to find a reasonable budget cctv cam. All help welcome Mark

Hi all, After the very succefull 2 days that we had in North Wales, shooting woodcock-snipe, I'm organizing another 2 days for the end of the season. The dates are: 16 January 2013 17 January 2013 Everything will be organized the same way like the last 2 days that we had, £100 per day, mid morning refreshment and pub lunch included. Its a a good day out and reasonably cheap day per gun, compared to other places that organize woodcock shooting, the day normally its planned as follow: meet at 9am, to be on shooting land by 9.30am, number of guns allowed its normally 6 per day, we take turns in walking, normally 2 walk with the dogs and the others stand in points that keeper says its the best. Refreshments half way thruw the morning and lunch included in the price. Bags: that is difficult to say, this year we shot 18 woodcocks 3 snipes 8 pheasants in a day, missing loads of birds , as you know these birds are not relesed, they migrate from russia norway and so on, this year on the second day was the best shooting we ever had, missed several that went up with the dogs and I think the guns where getting used to the way the birds were flying, if there is not many wild birds normally the game keeper decided to take us on his grounds where they keep pheasants/partridges. Personally I think that 1 woodcock its worth ten phesants because of the difficulty in shooting them. The Challenge its the Snipe, its the most difficult bird to shoot, its unbelivable how fast it can fly and the way that it fly, the first time that I shot one...after many many attempts...I was well chuffed and keepers and beaters made it feel special. I personally think that for £100 per day its very good, especially if you check the current prices on this site, theres a bloke asking £350 per gun for a 100 birds driven shooting and that is average...but you shoot on pheasants and I don't find them a good sport at all. How many cartdriges to take...I normally take 2 boxes of very good n6 loads for woodcock and the pheasants and some black gold n7 for the snipe If you want to have a chat about it you can phone me on 07795280779 Please PM as soon as you can, I have already booked 3 guns in.

Hi Wayne, I was really happy that we all had fun and we all did to shoot some snipes and woodcocks, I just can't get out of my head the final drive on the last day........wow so so many birds at once, never seen anything like it and well done to Jamie for his woodcocks and for your snipe. Ty again for comming and make a good day with your company. Mark
-
Mr. Hatch, I'm really glad that you enjoyed what I would describe, 2 fantastic days of woodcock and snipe shooting. All the guns had lots of sporting chances and fun. Thank you for your very unique moral lifting jokes and great company and very well done for your snipe shooting. I'm organizing another 2 days in January if you interested and we will meet up for some pigeoning soon. Mark

Ti and Storms first game shoot...............................
Highbird70 replied to Evil Elvis's topic in Sporting Pictures
Hi Evil Elvis, Can I ask you how did you make that type of effect on the photo? Ty -
+1 for David Basc, you would be a complete and utter irresponsible hunter/shoter if you don't use any insurance and you should not have any type of certificate for shooting. I'm always amazed when I join a shooting day and the person in charge doesn't check neither certificate or insurance, Basc-Ngo and so on should make a point with gamekeepers to check all the shooting guests.

Hi all.... What the heck you shot with...lol, you can see a 12 inch recoild movement on your shoulder.......thats not a gun thats a cannon lol

Hi All, After viewing this gun photoes sent to me by Skye01 in detail, this it is indeed an Arturo Mino Armi side by side, with Holland & Holland type mech, this model its the "Ideal" non hardned metal boxlock. The serial number of this gun, should date the gun at the end of the 50's, between 1958-1960, I still use mine, dated 1954, its one of the best gun that I ever shot with. Mark

I'm not on my own there Oscardad...lol

I think it all depends where you shooting, in my case I would shoot a couple... if I could, but if you go in locations that are considered pests, like pigeons, you would shoot as many as you can fit in the back of the vehicle you went with. My personal opinion, its that at least, don't let all that good meat go to waste.
