  2. Hi Matt, I have used slugs for 20 years, how accurate they are vaies a lot on the type of cartridge and shotgun, but I never shot anything that was more than 60 yards from me an always in dense woodland. Perfomance...again that varies a lot on condition and type of cartridge, I normally use Federal, winchester, gualandi, Sauvestre and so on, in case you will ever use one remember to use cilimder barrel or choke or you can also buy reduce slugs to fit the fixed chokes that you have on your shotgun. Mark
  3. Hi all, I hope you don't mind if I give this one a bump, I stilll have 2 spaces for the monday and 4 for the Tuesday, Its not extremely expensive and its a great experince shooting woodcock and snipe. Mark
  4. Hi all, I live in the Midlands in Warwickshire and been only once on the marshes in spalding with Greham basc guide and I loved it, but since then ...5 years ago I haven't had the chance to go back again. Does anyone from the midlands go to the marshes every so often? Would be a very nice soul in need of a bit of shooting company and like minded shooting buddy for the day? I would love to go back every so often but not many places here in the midlands Ty Mark
  5. Hi All, I am a the moment applying for my son shotgun certificate, he will be 7 in March next year, so trying to organize everything well before, I have bought a single barrel 410 Rossi Taurus, but I can't find anywhere a suitable gun slip, overall lenght of the gun its circa 35-40 inch, does anyone know where to find a gunslip for a 410 shotgun? or Does anyone know someone that could modify one for me? I really can't wait that March comes to give my son his very first shotgun and to take him to a professional CPSA instructor for his shotgun training lessons. Ty Mark
  6. Eto, You not far away from me, probably 40 min down m42, if you want some cold game I could source some for you, depends what you would like Let me know
  7. Me to Gilo, I'm in Coleshill, maybe if we get a date we can travel toghether if you want ty
  8. B725 his absolutely right, please remove the collar of your dogs when working, it will avoid accidents to you dog, by the way your dog looks fantastic and keen to retrive
  9. Jim, You want the short list or the long list?.....lol we could be here all night tho. Poles, hide net, 12-18 shells, 2 bouncers, seat or bucket, bag to carry all, machete, cap with camo facial cover, neck props or cradles can be easily made with shirt angers from laundry shops. But for me the most important thing are the boots or the wellies, once your feet get cold, the only thought in your head will be....home sweet home and it will put you off shooting for that winter cold day. I will ask around if anybody as some spares, I'm sure that one of the syndicate member as told me on saturday if I wanted some cheap good shells and I think I have a big net somewhere and I have a spare bouncer stick, if of course you don't mind second hand stuff. Mark
  10. Please don't shoot me...maybe I'm just weird, but I really like the old oak in contrast with the heads, that beautyfull aged wood works great and yes I agree on the size of the plaques, maybe they are on the large size...still I really likem I think its just down to personal taste
  11. Pete, this its one of those video that its just fantastic and a great experience to watch, the moment that thestag jumps up its just touching and nice to see it went all ok, there was a video a few days ago about a well known chap that culled a wild stag that managed to jump the fencing with adomesticated deers in, this video highlights how different is adomesticated animals to wild, hence the other wild stag had to be culled. Really apreciated. Thanks
  12. Well done both, Archie1234 for the opportunity given to some members and Oscarsdad for his first ever Grouse, amazing photoes and incredible weather for a great shooting experience. Well done

  15. I will go for a bit of Pigeoning in the morning if weather is good, so I could be there for 1-2 pm...who's going? Mark
  16. Archie1234 as made a fantastic offer to help people that can't afford for many reason to experience the beauty of Grouse shooting and to apreciate the land. Well done
  17. Fantastic photoes and great bags... I wish I could do a day like that here in Warwishire...I planning to create a marsh in certain areas...lol..where you see lurchers
  18. Hi Greg, Ty for repply, I was looking to build something cheaper, because in anycase I would shoot in the 30-25 yards range, so something that is able to see at 80-100 yards and then would squeak them in, probably I am a lil to hopefull that its possible to build a night vision tool for lil money Mark
  19. Hi Greg, Could I ask how you build your night vision goggles or screen, I have a problem with some foxes on our lil syndicate, what I normally do its to wait with my shotgun and n1 cartdriges on the paths at dusk and managed to despatch one in that way, but now that the night draws in earlier and fox comes out later in the dark, I feel that it would be very unsafe to shoot an animal that I only reconize by the silhouette, thats why like many others I'm looking to build a cheaper night vision tool, something that will help me to identify the animal that I'm about to shoot with 100% certanty that is the fox and not a dog with walker behind. Ty Mark
  20. Hi, This its one of those things that I wish that never happens to know one, I really hope your dog will make a full recovery and yes I really hope that the attacking dogs will be put down and their owner taken to court. Whats the point of having a dog like a rotweiler or other similar dogs? Its only for people that like to show off or chavies. I have met a few rotties in my lifes some are really good but still I will never trust that type of dogs. The owner its the main responsible and should pay the consequence.
  21. I would like to go...anyone else comming?
  22. Hi, Will it go hard afer its dry or will it stay soft?
  23. I'm planning it or next fox that I shoot, I remember when little I used to salt rabbit skins...but they turn as stiff as wood, when I get a fox i will debone the tail..I think it should come out easily...but I don't realt know how to preserve it, like the ones that you see on certain hats...nice and fluffy ...lol Ty Mark
