  1. After being hit by a foreign artic in September my truck now needs to go back to Ryestreet coach works Haverhill for the fourth time under warranty! Problems include, breaking a new abs sensor during fitting and then trying to fob me off that it was an electrical fault when it failed, eventually fitted a new sensor. Plastic painted parts keep shedding their paint, numerous bolts, screws and clips missing and trim badly fitted, or not fitted at all! All topped off by shocking communication skills and an inability to work to schedules AVOID!
  2. Jimlondon, yes have been using one quite a bit on a friends farm. Its not so much if I like it or not (I love it) its more the practicalities of it. I have my own shoot that I run and the .17 would be my truck gun, however if I have to start leaving shots because of excessive noise or bullet travel etc then I want to be able to have the .22 slot ready if I need it
  3. Ok, want to keep the .22 slot I case I decide to swap back thanks for the help
  4. Evening, bit of advice needed please. Fancy a change and want to sell my .22lr and get a .17hmr, first off need to apply for a slot for .17, but keep the .22 slot, so that's just a straight variation correct? When I (hopefully) get my .17 slot, sell the .22 and buy the .17 is that another variation or is that a 1 for 1? Cheers
  5. To be honest I think you are better off with a moderated .410, garden guns are pretty pants and the ammo costs a fortune!
  6. Need a bit of help with the title! In the middle of helping arrange my stag do ( its difficult because most of dont live in the same county as each other!) looking for somewhere to go for a good curry before we go for a drink or 2........
  7. Pah!! not nearly enough sharp wire ends to scrape down your arm everytime you feed the call bird or take one out seriously though looks a tidy job!
  8. Yer I had 250 of the clay ones and can't fault them for the money. Id heard they were dirty and hard on the shoulder but didn't find that at all
  9. If its the beech stock, which the stock on my Baikal is is, im guessing you might struggle based on the above as I think beech is a very short grain
  10. Cheers Albert you might be onto something there, have noticed a few times that the odd bullet skims the bottom.of the chamber and takes a scrape off the lead, might try my other mags and see if its any different. Good thinking that man!
  11. Cheers everyone dont have a bipod so can rule that out, and il try with the mod off if it ever stops raining! underdog the bad groups are probably around 2" so still rabbit head sized but its just annoying! Albert 888 i use win subs and have always got on well with them but have been switching between new and old style boxes, dont know if there is any difference in manufacture. Cheers reggiegun, i didn't think it used to be floated but best to check! Looks like working through what people have said. Thanks for the help
  12. Cheers, have already tried that, even got all the torque settings from the net and torqued everything to the right numbers. Im thinking possibly bullets are hitting the moderator or barrel needs floating, just not sure why its suddenly off!
  13. Hi, having a bit of a problem with my ruger 10/22, its a laminate stock, target barrel and had a trigger kit so in theory should be fairly accurate and has been for the last 2 years or so. Recently I have been struggling with my grouping, one 5 shot group will be sub inch at 50 yards, then the next will be all over the place. Just trying to work through possible causes, should the barrel on a .22 be floated or are they not that fussy? Any other suggestions appreciated

  15. Bedroom windows are the future of shooting haha I love shooting rats in the chickens from the bedroom window with the .22, pillows make an excellent rest and the bed is a comfy seat. Do have to watch out for empties, ruger spits them all over the shop
  16. Unfortunately it only does 40kph, not 88mph so not fast enough for actual time travel!
  17. Doesn't a caution count as an admission of guilt though, that's why basc etc always say dont accept one. A friend of mine spent the day in police cells and was questioned over his unknowing purchase of a stolen teleporter, no further action was ever taken and he had no caution but he still turned down as a friends referee for a fac.
  18. Ahh little bit of a trek, this is near Newmarket in Suffolk!
  19. Where abouts are you mate? I get level transit tipper load from work for 32 quid, its a bit more for the public but on a few quid extra. They do timber in 2.4m lengths too
  20. At work my fave saw is a husky 353g, not too big but plenty of guts on a 16" bar...BUT I would say compared to my own stihl they are a lot heavier. +1 on the wind low stuff, its evil!
  21. Can you imagine a basement in the fens?! Would be a built in swimming pool
  22. My flukiest shot is hitting a hen flying from a bank, swinging through and killing her and a pigeon in the tree that I didn't even see with the second shot!
