  4. Without a shadow of doubt stunning - all nature is really - a magpie in full bloom is amazing Up here the jays work the woods in packs - flitting from tree to tree in relays looking for opportunities
  5. It depends what you want from your perms really i suppose I want to give the little farmland and woodland birds the best chance i can - i have seen jays take full nests of chicks - eggs the lot - They are in my opinion specialists of the woods with their cousin the magpie more of the hedge - garden menace

  13. Hi 30-06 I have seen all sort of reaction when a fox is hit Rolls over Jumps up Drops and then stands Usually when hit - yet tail up but not always If your mate is using thermal or NV and the fox has no idea about where the bang came from its possible it has come back I have had that happen a few times - usually where i shoot one of a pair and the other goes into cover and then comes out later
  14. Sorry mate - dig not make it clear I had the Dam No the Dog never sired a litter before or after The dog i used had not either but he walked into the garden and that was it - sorted Sorry i have just re read your post and you have the dog that has sired before - that is most odd and apologies i have not heard of that

  16. At the moment i believe many members of the public - maybe not aligned with shooting - accept the need to control pest species I wonder if they were put on the list as a quarry if many would then think it was just something else to shoot as so many term it ?
  17. Yes - im pretty lucky as i have access to that I just found it interesting how far your money can go - a bit like a few decades ago buying an estate in Scotland was a seriously shrewd move
