  1. Yes - its not that i want them off the list - i want to keep them on the list - Not just so people can shoot them but i believe it brings in money / sport for some and that in turn creates / manages the habitats and predators
  2. Yes i have no issue with restriction if its for the right reasons I think the current situation in Scotland - now shooting deer all year round is a disgrace I am a firm believer in taking the first move and adjusting to things rather than having them adjusted ie i would rather have a shorter / altered season than no season at all - Have we not been here before - once quarry are off the list they never return despite then what happens to future numbers
  3. Or you can take a picture and press the search function under it and it links to the net and ID s it too
  4. Well simply though maybe they wont breed if they are all shot down south ? Why urge restraint not to shoot till November / December then - and not do so based on locality ? No i think you are wrong If we are "following the science" and that urges us not to shoot till November/December - then a season change would be a good idea. We cant keep telling people we are following the science then totally ignoring it at the next juncture , surely ? Or maybe we can
  5. As i suggest on SD - i think we should take action before we are made to take action - to risk shooting residents is daft in the current situation. I wonder would a ballot or members - the shooting community be appropriate
  6. I think there is far more chance of someone making the decision for us rather than us putting our own house in order and showing that we follow our own science that we keep banging on about
  7. I wonder why we dont take the moral high ground then - and the sensible one - and move the season until December
  8. 600 quid plus p and p or collection available lads
  9. Bill - he set the price that the chaps paid - Again i have no skin in the game I sent Steve some seeds years ago - I did not expect him to round up the postage = and to be honest im not even sure i asked him for it - I DONT consider he took the P at all - and i dont think the chaps concerned have
  10. Must agree with some of the below - yesterday or the day before we read how rosy things were and today - its bumpy - but we cant read it unless we subscribe ? A bit .... well odd ?
  11. Steve - sounds a bit like Indian Giving - i think you will find most people would not even give it a thought - if you ask 5.09 thats what they have paid - Next time do yourself a favour and just ask for 7 quid
  12. Why not just ask them for that at the time then ?
  13. Im having a good year on the vermin - just had a tally and 375 rats to date

  18. So far very impressed - zeroed with 4 shots - having never used one before - and forgetting the instructions as i left the house ! The rangefinder works well in woodland and the scope at night is incredible The weight on some of these day nights is limiting but this is useable and the picture is me holding it arm outstretched Would be nice to have an external battery too and some charge lights but so far very very impressed !
  19. Well that was pretty easy The scope comes with mounts too to fit picatinny rails - and a mount for the IR The scope is fairly heavy as the day / nights are but feels very well balanced on the rifle
