  1. Anyone had any experiences with the Huglu 103?
  2. A few of us are members of the traeth back wildfowlers club which shoot in porthmadog and harlech area. Membership includes membership with basc aswell
  3. Hi Remimax, I'm also from Caernarfon and go shooting with e.w. often. Mainly wildgowling to anglesey or porthmadog whilst the birds are in season but have done the odd day pigeon decoying. Spent last summer a little like you blowinv cash on clay pigeons and cartridges.
  4. There is nothing sporting about, I refuse and always have refused to shoot birds on the ground. Me and the old man are believe in only shooting what you intend to eat and the most be have shot before stopping is 7 widgeon. This kind of shooting is just a slaughter which only serves to give the any shooting mob ammo to use against us.
  5. Don't remember the last time I had an alcoholic drink, not through choice I've just been working flat out at work and also doing up a house so I have not had time to go out. I think if they banned alcohol tomorrow I wouldn't miss it, always crave a nice cup of tea after a hard days work.
  6. Mine took about a month and I work for them! I found that giving them a call every Monday helped. Be advised that they are only open between 10am and 2pm now.
  7. That's poor service, if they didn't have enough to charge for theft they could have gone for handling stolen goods which carries a heavier penalty
  8. My force has in the past posted pcso's to carry out the role of firearms licensing officer. So it's not unheard of. Normally our firearms officer is a civilian anyway and not a police constable.
  9. If you have noticed people coming and going to the address at various times of the day for short period of times and something small being exchanged between them then I would say this is a good indication of drug dealing. At his age he is likely to be a small time dealer supplying cannabis to his mates etc. However cannabis is normally the stepping stone to more serious drugs. I would advice you to contact your local police force and share your concerns with them, they will carry out intelligence checks on him and your info may form part of an already growing picture of this persons activities. If you are concerned about giving your details then you can report it anonymously to crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
  10. I remember seeing my first meteor last year whilst at work. It reminded me of the scene in transformers when they are falling into the atmosphere, lol
  11. Always thought they are a great gun for the money, you wont worry too much about getting it wet and muddy. The camo will rub off after time but who cares as they are not show pieces but working guns Buy one and you wont regret it.
  12. Looks very good but I think im going to hold out for now because I don't want to be without the gun for a few weeks
  13. I've got somd of the javk pyke camo nets, pretty basic green and brown net but well made. Also got a jack pyke clear view net which is good.
  14. Evening folks This is perhaps a question for the more knowlegable on you good folk My uncle has recently purchased a nice used Miroku 7000 over and under, however it's not clear if it's proofed for steel for not. It is missing any of the usual steel proof marks Many thanks in anticipation
  15. As it's pre 1980's its likely to contain asbestos. I have recently done my ceiling did by plasterboarding over and then skimming with pink finish. Removing it is a messy and dusty job and its eadier to just board over and skim. Alternatively you can apply several thinned down coats of pva over it and then skim with plaster. All depends on the condition of the ceiling. My ceiling as lath and plast so i just boarded over and skimmed.
  16. they once thought wearing smart and bright coloured uniform and standing in a line shooting at each other with muskets was the way to fight battles and win wars. But then we decided to hide in bushes in camo clothing and use automatic weapons. :-)
  17. Well here are the pictures of my Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 which is only a week old and only fired 60 cartridges in total over the space of 3 occasions and the gun was cleaned after each session. The wear on the forend is shocking considering the very little use the gun has had, and I've made sure all the joints were well lubricated and clean of debris before assembly. Also the forend has caused major wear to the blueing on the bottom of the barrel.
  18. Just thought I'd mention it as the majority thought it more productive to "extract urine from you" I personally don't don't care what people shoot with, at the end of the day it's about going out and enjoying yourself that's important. Not everyone can afford to own more than one gun. The time will fly by and you'll soon be out shooting with your Hatsan, and we expect to see some pics when you do
  19. Also you can only shoot pheasant between October 1st to February 1st
  20. Traditionally pheasant shooting has been a gentlemen's sport using traditional side by side or over and under shotguns and matching attire. Turning up in camo's and a semi auto will do down like a lead balloon
  21. Just looked at my receiver and i have a small amount of wear similar to your. Think i will give gmk s call this week to discuss
  22. I got a little concerned there for a moment as my new silver pigeon is showing similar wear signs to the pictures above. But when you consider that these are surfaces that touch each other and are going to be alot of wear then it seems normal wear and tear to me.
  23. Technically if a racing pigeon is not a wild bird and indeed property belonging to a person then shooting one is an offence of criminal damage. But you haven't shot one so no worries
  24. i'll dig it up on the legal database when im next in work.
