  1. She's a right little babe, beautiful dog, I hope she's all well and good luck,
  2. How many times in the night do you get up to let it out to empty it's self?
  3. Don't take this the wrong way, but you don't seem to be listening regarding raw feeding, you need to forget about ****ty bagged whole complete kibble, it's rammel,I'd bet my life if you were to feed your dog raw you'd have no problems, no bad breath, more energy, I get all my meat and chicken carcasses and necks etc from tpms, its cheap enough i even give it my dogs frozen they seem to enjoy it more like that,
  4. Prices are cheaper than where I use, What's delivery costs from there do you know?
  5. The dogs only 5 months old, you'll flatten him, So much training at such a young age, let him be a pup and he'll shine much better when he's older
  6. He's a young dog, walk with him on a lead holding the game taking it iff him and giving it him back as youd like him to carry it, correcting him and prasing him as he's going, at the min he may not quite know what you want from him,
  7. You know never to believe what someone in the pup tells you, most working line dogs will do you for what you want, You know never to believe someone in the pup dont you? I'd be very careful what springer you buy, you've never had a working dog before and getting a springer, I'd be more interested in how fiery and excited it's dam and sire were as opposed to the awards the blood lines have won, Some springers require a lot of experience and patience from the handler to become a good team, The best springer we've ever had was a little swine to train, he'd be that excited when he knew he was going out he'd be shivering, you dont want a dog like that as your 1st working dog For now
  8. you after one that your dog can shoot?
  9. what would the reasons be for a trial dog not to be the best choice for many a mans shooting dog?
  10. my mate has a bitch like this. he'll send her out and she doesnt come back unless she has something. works her little heart out but always chomping at the bit
  11. sorry for above post didnt read that pup was only 17 weeks old, play play play and sneak in the commands while the pup doesnt even realise your doing it.
  12. drag the little ****** back, and hold him with the scruff of his neck. you wont hurt him but you'll have his attention. everyhting you do with your puppy must be followed through. NEVER give him a command you cant make him do.
  13. Dont like the sound of that, hope its nothing serious, good luck
  14. i take mine to work with me, section off an area in the back of the van for her. she gets a right bag on if she has to stay at home, she's been at work with me since she was 8 weeks old. We do some training on my breaks
  15. at 6 years old there'll be some old habits in there, get a pup and start from scratch. start with a Lab easier to train and wont punishish you too hard foryour mistakes
  16. A place I take my dog, loads of varying species of mush, I just don't know a soul to educate me, such a shame super market mush are pathetic in comparison
  17. You dont know what a JONG is? if you have to ask? Just One New Gaper
  18. I'm a complete JONG to shooting, so I'll be asking lots of questions and bleeding you folks dry of info. Ive got a cracking Lab pup from strong working lines and she's showing really good signs of being a great dog to field trial, but i'd also like to learn to shoot and have her working under the gun for me. Ive started some lessons at the Nottingham District gun Club, aint got my licence yet nor any idea on what gun to get once i have. All friendly info welcome Ross
