  1. Price for the rifle, mod and 4 shot magazine only is £495
  2. Your suggestions sound about right to me Rick but I'm not going to rush in to it. I've started buying reloading gear but I'm not finished yet so I'll probably start reloading for the 204 as suggested by maxwell and take it from there. I might replace the hummer with an FAC Air rifle as I haven't had one for a few years now and I could start bashing the old tree rats again Thanks for all the suggestions and advise lads
  3. I've just bought a new Widcat Evolution moderator and need to have the end bush machined to fit my barrel so should it be a tight, no gap fit (which will leave marks on the barrel) or should it be a snug/loose fit? I'm thinking of going for the snug/loose fit so what gap should be left, is 1mm all round enough (17.5mm bush hole for a 15.5mm barrel)?
  4. That would mean giving up a slot.... They don't allow 17HMR for fox in North Wales and it can get rather windy and it's just not the round to use in wind.
  5. Jeez, I'd try that.....don't suppose your over in Wales any time soon
  6. Well the time's come to give up my Anschutz 1517 17HMR which I've loved using for daytime rabbiting to around 180 yards but is now redundant due to my recent purchase of a new .204 so is there a calibre out there that would sit somewhere between a .22LR and .204? Is the .22 WMR a sub 150 yard round and are the .17 / .22 hornets too close to the .204? I'd like the replacement rifle for medium range (sub 200 yards) rabbiting and possibly foxing, ideally not too expensive to feed as I don't reload yet. So what do you think?
  7. Everyone told me that the Anschutz 1415 .22LR prefer Eley subs so I travelled 50 miles to buy 500 as all the local shops around here don't stock them. Typical, mine didn't like them but thankfully it loved the 40g winnie subs and even better it also likes the new 42g winnie subs, a cracking round
  8. Another vote for the above, luckily they're cheap enough to buy and you'll have great fun in doing the testing.
  9. Been there, done that, you'll forget about it.....in about 2 years
  10. 500 Winchester 42g subs - £48.70 - Kirklees Guns

  12. Thanks Roby Yes I had it on a 223 but I've just changes it for a new Howa 204 and I've gone for a 204 calibre specific mod.

  14. Package price now reduced to £700. I'd be happy to sell the rifle, mod & 4 shot magazine only for £500. I won't sell the other items before the rifle is sold.
  15. My little Annie 1417 .22LR is the one gun I'll never sell and the 2 stage trigger is just perfect.
  16. Well worth the wait for you in the end mate
  17. I've got a complete snipercam set up to include IR torch that I'm thinking of either selling or swapping so send me an email or pm if your interested.
  18. Scott Country International have just announced a big sale on Ridgeline clothing and I've just ordered the Ridgeline Bushmaster Smock for £99 reduced from £240 using the code BUSHMDEAL. All their Ridgeline clothing are on special offer.
  19. Don't take it for granted that all Annie's like Eley as my 1417 didn't but it loves Winnie's. I'm really jealous of the 1517 with a 2 stage trigger as I'd have loved to have one but everyone I looked at only has single stage.
