  4. Good evening folks Im just getting my other half into airgun shooting, Has anyone got any good gun recommendations? im looking to get her a .177 and thinking of a Air Arms S410, the gun will be secondhand as I don't want to spend loads to get her started! I would like a decent shot count but a little unsure what the S410 is like on that score? Any help would be great Cheers people
  5. Hi Guys, Well I finally managed to get my better half to have a go of the air rifle and do some paper punching, Which I might add she got some tighter groups then myself! very good as she has never shot a gun before & think she had quite a bit of fun doing it, if nothing else to be in competition with me Anyways can any of you Ladies or Gents recommend a good air rifle club for me and her to join in and around Essex & Herefordshire? And maybe their prices.. Thanks folks Regards Foggy..
  6. Hi Chaps, A little question regarding the NEW Walther RM8.. I hear they are now being fitted with a two stage trigger anyone know if there is any truth to this? and indeed if there are anymore upgrades done to the new ones leaving the factory? Regards Foggy..
  7. So nobody rates the snap traps? How much are the fenn traps and could someone post me a link? Thanks guys
  8. Cheers guys, No foliage by the house so don't think that should be a problem but really don't know what to do o this one! Normaly I would use poison bait traps but im worried the dog could get hold of any poison they drag out and alike.. I had a quick poke around out there when I got home from work but could not find anything obvious! Ive been cutting some trees back out there so there is alot of bushy cuttings so can't lay the traps just yet but soon as I have I will be setting them to see what turns up, Where can I get fenn traps from and how do they work? Are they better than snap traps? Cheers guys Foggy..
  9. That is intresting mate, I know there is afew neighbours who do feed birds and keep outdoor animals (not chickens) so that is what has attracted them, but there really is nothing In our garden at all! There was fallen fruit from trees but that is been gone months now.. The only thing I could think they could eat in the garden is any dog poop I might miss and not sure if they would even eat that? I did used to see dug holes under the fence from next door but have since layed concrete at bottom of fence and have not seen anymore dig holes for months! I will have to have a poke around in the garden and see if I can see any evidence. Im thinking I've got about six of these big cheese Rat traps so thinking of baiting them up with something and placing them up the back of the Garden thats fenced off and the dog can't get to!
  10. Hi guys, Little advice needed really.. let the dog out last night for a pee and she went straight over to some wheels in the corner of the Garden, I was standing there with a bright torch and was confronted by a brown rat that run past me and back to nextdoors garden! Now there have been rats from next door before but have not seen any for ages until lastnight.. Don't really know how to tackle this one really as I don't want to use poison because of the dog and dont think shooting would be effective enough as ive shot one or two in the past but normaly takes all night to get one.. There is no food source in our garden for them so really can't see why they would be there? Any help would be great guys Thanks Foggy..
  11. Hi fellow shooters, As above really guys, How many Shots do you get from your .177 HW 100's as im really a lover of the whole buddy bottle these days but im just a little curious! Thanks in advance for your replies. Foggy..

    Top Gear

Give me top gear any day over all the reality tv tosh thats on these days! seems like thats all our tv has become now, just a wash of reality poop and celebrities eating bugs and animal parts.. and when one's over its closely followed by another deluge of reality junk So the top gear boy's are almost a bit of light relief..
  13. Yep that is one ugly piece of work that and for that price, come on daystate get back to your roots before its to late! What I would like to see is Daystate to start turning out the same quality guns the used too.. a sweet looking, buddy bottle affair with a proper side bolt like the super 10 and a low fitting magazine wouldn't go a miss to aid low scope hight! Foggy..
  14. Cheers mate, im begining to think Mr Mole is the only person to own one of these guns ☺

    Brian May

Talking of Guitar players.. i see this on youtube a while back and was impressed by the fella! Always got respect for people like this chap and good luck to him. Hope the link works chaps http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=RDm3gMgK7h-BA Foggy
  16. Ok guys well its been about for a bit now and im sure the .177 must now be readily available! So is it worth me saving my pennies up to splash out on the Rotex in .177 flavour? I have been looking into this beastie for a while but thought I would let the dust settle I guess these guns are a little like Marmite but I love the look of them, the action seems to loosely remind me of the Super 10 and I do love a "proper" side bolt.. something I wish they had put on the R10 but looks alone don't seal the deal, its got to function and put the pellet where you want it. So can any of you guys tell me the good and bad you have found with the Rotex and indeed is it worth me adding it to the collection? Thanks my fellow shooters

  18. Evening guys, Ive been looking into the hatsan galatian! Really like the look of these beasties but can't seem to find much about them.. Has anyone got any experience of these good or bad??
  19. Lets hope it stays that way.. bloody hate the stuff, theres only one time for snow and thats Christmas eve and Christmas day.. should all melt by boxing day, ****** off and not be back until the same time following year All the best Foggy..
  20. I agree with some of the comments here, there is no need to poke your nose in a spiteful manner and publicly post "your item is over priced poop mate" or words to that affect ☺ but again that said a little comment or word encouragement to a seller is a nice thing and indeed a boost back to the top! But then as someone said a bit higher up there really is some pointless replys or less than helpful comments that are posted on these forums sometimes when all your really after is help from knowledgeable chaps, which I might add most on here are 😊
  21. Hi Guys Im in need of a good Chronograph to test my rifles chaps, to say on the right side of the law Can anyone recommend a good one to use and maybe a link? Cheers Foggy..

    Oop's

Paul Daniels has nothing on Washing machines and tumble dryers! They never fail to surprise me how they can completely transform items Awesome
  23. Sorry guys but I have got to say.. First and foremost to Fabuhi good luck with the new cylinder and hope it all works out well buddy but ive got to say from what I have heared and read on here just backs up my first thoughts that these guns do have alot of quality issues and now hearing that cylinders are problematic would steer me away from this gun.. I know these are a cheaper gun but I would expect the gun to be usable without fault for at least a year being a brand new rifle! £300 of anyone's money is a fair bit these days! As I said though mate I do hope the replacement cylinder fixes all the problems and you can get on and enjoy it Regards Foggy..
