  1. Go for the Tikka mate, accurate and reliable, modern Sako's are overpriced compared to the Tikka. I had a Tikka M55 heavy barrelled treble two for years and use a Tikka T3 lite .223 now. The T3 has had over three thousand rounds through it and is still as accurate as new. Some will say Sako's actions are sized to the round chambered, big deal ! It makes no real difference and the Tikkas triggers are excellent. Just a tuppence worth. All the best Reiver XXV
  2. Nice bit of kit ! Have a Spanish copy of the same sparks better than my Pedersoli Trade Gun ! ATB Garry
  3. Hi is the skeet choke still for sale ? If so I would like to buy it please. Cheers Garry
  4. I picked up the 32" 682 from my local RFD on the last Friday of the season and shot it on the Saturday at a Keepers day. I had 19 pheasants for 41 shots so I'm well pleased though it's a bit of a long un for mooching through the woods ! Thanks for all the comments and advice
  5. Hi mate Just to say bag arrived today, delighted with it. Thanks again Garry
  6. Hi mate I would like this please, let me know how you want paid. Cheers Garry
  7. Another Teague user, delighted with their performance as well as the choke key. Highly recommended

  10. Aye make sure you get to the bank statement before the Missus ! We've all been there mate the rush to get to the letterbox first and making the statement disappear !
  11. Sturdy bits of kit, had one for years as my keepers gun, Suzy Savage ! Still have one and they have a steel receiver, no monkey metal !
  12. A wee donation from over the Border. A cause very dear to my heart Reiver XXV

  14. Hi Looking to get back into Sporting clay shooting and looking for opinions on the pros and cons of 30 inch V 32 inch barrels ? I will use the gun for clays mostly with some days at pigeons/ crows. I am looking at a Browning A1 30" Teague multichoke, an oldy but a goody or a Beretta 682 old silver action 32" multichoke. Any advice opinions would be much appreciated. Cheers Reiver XXV
  15. Thanks for that mate, why didn't I think of that ? Aye it's an alloy action so will be part exchanging it, did wonder at it being so light, didn't shoot worth a damn with it !
  16. Aye I can't imagine an all alloy action being able to take much of a pounding especially not having a steel breech face ! I'm probably wrong though !
  17. Thanks mate, will consider shifting it on as I don't like the thought of an alloy action, I'm old fashioned I know ! Own a Browning Auto 5 and a Remi 1187 both steel !
  18. I'm swithering of part exchanging my Remi 1187 Premier 28" barrel multichoke for a Browning A1 and I read this thread, thanks folks ! Now more doubt ! Now may part exchange my Macnab Highlander over and under 20 bore instead. Wanted a 20 for game shooting in company but Hell if folk don't like a semi auto in their company then I will shoot alone ! ;-)
  19. Can anyone tell me if the Macnab Highlander over and under were ever made with an alloy action? I have recently bought a 20 bore with a silver finished action, it is a lovely gun with nice quality wood. It's a fixed choke 28" barrel with the Macnab motif on the bottom and game birds on either side of the action. The reason I'm asking is it seems very light although the breech face is made of the same metal. Most alloy action guns I've seen have a steel insert on the breech face ? I know my gun was made by Battista Rizzini as it's marked on the action. Any advice would be gratefully received. Cheers Gaz
  20. I used to have a 12 bore Savage pump gun called Suzi ! It was a great keepering gun, it had a split stock through the hand and I was quoted silly money for a replacement. This was in the days before tinterweb so Suzi was euthanised. I felt guilty and got another earlier this year for a whole £60. Suzi the second ! I used to have a 12 bore Savage pump gun called Suzi !
