  1. There are some basic things you can do to start: - Register your website for google webmaster tools if you haven't already. - Read the latests SEO guide for google and make sure your site complies with the current standards http://static.googleusercontent.com/media/www.google.com/en//webmasters/docs/search-engine-optimization-starter-guide.pdf - Make sure you submit a sitemap to google (use webmaster tools) and then follow up on any broken links/pages. EDIT It's covered in the SEO guide I linked but you will obviously want to make sure your content is relevant to the keywords for which you want to rank. Regularly updated content which is relevant to your keywords will help get your rankings up.
  2. Hahaha, beaten to it dammit! Great minds.
  3. I always thought Hitler's blower was Eva Braun. I'll get my coat.
  4. The modern definition seems to be anyone with a differing opinion is Hitler. Or a fascist.
  5. That was a surreal read. What was the point of doing that?
  6. Not that a body count should really decide border control policy, but the conclusion of the study only holds if you take the specific 2001-2015 window it uses. As soon as you take in 2016 numbers the conclusion changes again. And if you take it back to 2000 it obviously changes even more so. https://www.newamerica.org/in-depth/terrorism-in-america/what-threat-united-states-today/#americas-layered-defenses
  7. It's not really religious persecution though as their Federal law requires religion to be taken into account when processing asylum applications, long before Trump. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1158 And neither is it a blanket ban on refugees which would definitely be against the UN convention. I totally agree on the "terrorism cuts both ways" argument but the specific shooting in Quebec this morning doesn't look to be quite what the news media assumed it was. https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.journaldequebec.com%2F2017%2F01%2F29%2Fdes-coups-de-feu-dans-un-mosquee-de-sainte-foy&edit-text= http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4170500/Five-dead-GUNMEN-open-fire-Mosque-Quebec-City.html
  8. I'm not a Trump fan by a long shot but to put it in perspective it's a temporary, 120 day ban while they sort out the visa vetting process with exemptions for the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security. Then a cap of 50,000 which is as far as I can see exactly what it's been set at for the past 6 years (with the exception of Obama's final year). Whether it serves the stated purpose or not, who knows, but it's far from unprecedented in the US or even the world. The reaction seems to be somewhat overblown in my opinion.
  9. Since he's posting on PW I assume he has access to the internet?
  10. First and easiest thing to try is to update the drivers to the latest versions. Download and install the ones for 'chipset' and 'network': http://www.dell.com/support/home/uk/en/ukbsdt1/product-support/product/inspiron-15-n5030/drivers Then reboot. It should automatically hook out the updated driver once it's installed but if not you may need to go into Device Manager and point it to the installed driver.
  11. A network adapter is how a computer connects to a network. It can be wireless (WiFi) or wired (ethernet). A driver is a bit of software that sits between the physical hardware and your operating system (in this case Windows) that tells your computer how to talk to your network adapter. What model inspiron do you have and are you trying to connect via a physical wired connection or over wifi? You can use this guide to find your laptop model http://www.dell.com/support/article/uk/en/ukbsdt1/SLN298441 EDIT: Sorry didn't see you already said it's running Windows.
  12. For commercial news stations I think they are free to put whatever bias they like on the news as I just ignore it. What I resent is having to pay, under threat of imprisonment, for the BBC when they have become so obviously biased.
  13. If it serves a purpose then that's great. Consensus seems to be to keep it anyway! I looked at the SXP too but was put off by the slam fire recall and some failures to fix them even after being recalled. http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/350188-winchester-sxp-slam-fire-recall/?hl=%2Bslam+%2Bfire http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/310534-faulty-winchester-sxp/?hl=%2Bslam+%2Bfire&do=findComment&comment=2805849
  14. I got a Seiko 5 SNK795K last year as an everyday watch. Great value for an automatic.
  15. Thanks. I think I'll leave it on there for now. Have you ever actually shot so much that your mossy has needed one though? I had a 500 before but never wanted for a heat shield.
  16. Thanks! I'm down for the PS comp on the Sunday. No idea what I'm walking in to so look for the guy at the bottom of the table and that'll be me
  17. I'd like to submit my application to join pump club: my new S1 Mossberg 590. I did an intro target shotgun course back in the summer and really enjoyed it. Thought I'd have a crack at the TS festival at Bisley at the end of Feb. Not sure how I feel about the heat shield at this point, I may remove it.
  18. I guess that'll be the limit for quite a while then. I saw a report saying Amazon filed a patent for lamp post recharging stations for drones a little while ago which at least would solve the range issue. https://techcrunch.com/2016/07/20/amazon-patent-proposes-drone-perches-atop-streetlights-and-other-protruding-infrastructure/ Although I'd guess it would be a matter of time before some herbert shimmies up a lamp post to snatch a charging drone and a free Amazon package.
  19. What's the kind of payload weight these things can carry while maintaining a decent flight time?
  20. Yeah I get that feeling too. I've bought two guns by RFD transfer and it seemed to depend on who the sending RFD was as to whether I had to send my cert off or not.
  21. A helicopter, really!? That's crazy. You'd think they'd use a drone.
  22. https://www.riflecraft.co.uk/ are listed as the distributor on the Athlon site but opticswarehouse also import them. Both seem to be expecting new stock at the end of the month. According to Athlon the new Helos is out due in March which looks like the same spec as Argos but with a few more features like locking turrets and is another notch up the pricing ladder. http://athlonoptics.com/product/helos-btr-6-24x50-apmr-ffp-ir-mil/ Disclaimer: I'm don't work for or have an investment in any of these companies, I've just been trying to find out availability and information on these scopes.
  23. Yeah I missed the sale unfortunately as I was after the moa version. More due at the end of the month apparently.
  24. I'm looking at rifle scopes and came across these from Athlon Optics who look relatively new on the scene. Can't find them mentioned here so wondered if anyone has any experience of them? http://athlonoptics.com/product/helos-btr-6-24x50-apmr-ffp-ir-mil/ http://athlonoptics.com/product/argos-6-24x50-atmr-ffp-ir-moa/ All I've found so far is a couple of US forums where there are some interesting reviews in terms of dialing in to shoot the box which seems fairly positive. E.g. http://www.scout.com/military/snipers-hide/forums/5511-rifle-scopes/14402673-athlon-scopes I'm under no illusion that they're going to cut it with £1000+ scopes but for the money (and the lifetime warranty) and the positive reviews, they caught my attention.
