  1. Sorry, it was meant a bit 'tongue in cheek' , we all will go for it, if it comes our way.
  2. If that is the case, do you never shoot a right and left? Never understood why it is called a left and right, as on a SxS the right barrel is the front trigger.
  3. Or an AYA No.3 being non ejector it would mean you do not have to look for your empties.
  4. Also think that ' the largest stock of AYAs in the country ' is wrong, I think Sportarm of Dorchester for one, would disagree with that. Maybe his poor mounting of the gun is why he favours 24g cartridges, if he tried some of my 36g it would probably put him in hospital.
  5. Well spotted sir, you are quite right it is a model 117 There is more, things we all need to know
  6. RC now do the HPF3 in 35g & 36g Fibre and it is a very good cartridge.
  7. I have a No.2 that was made in 1964, I have owned it for over 20 years and in that time has had a lot of use and apart from a broken top lever spring ( a very easy repair ) it has never let me down, they are a lot of gun for the money.
  8. Keep the above and avoid a gun with known problems would be good advice
  9. Just remembered where I saw some 3" Turkey loads in 6's, they were in Walmart in Harrison, Boone County, Arkansas. Hope that helps, oh but the 3 shot capacity is also law in the US.
  10. You never said you were not in the UK and if you are not how would we know where to send you for cartridges!!!!
  11. It is illegal to shoot game and wildfowl with more than 3 shot capacity, that is 2 in the magazine and 1 in the chamber.
  12. Stephen King has a lot to answer for
  13. Any news about them being available in the shops again?
  14. Judging by the response to this thread, you are not alone
  15. Do you have some to add to the collection?
  16. Sorry! But what has his background to do with the subject of long range shooting? Or is that a very unacceptable personal attack...…..
  17. I am glad my Flatcoat cannot type as he has very strong views on this subject. He thinks that it is cruel shooting birds at extreme range as he has to go and pick them up.
  18. How can anyone know this? Maybe it was a complete miss.
  19. He uses a hammer Ok in the wrong barrel, so the long distance clay got the 1/4 choke etc.
  20. Here is a good example of choke as to whether it really matters or is more psychological. A very good friend of mine, who is one of the top Clay sporting shooters in the country, looked at a stand and decided he needed ( something like ) 1/4 and 3/4 choke, after straighting the stand he found he had put the chokes in the wrong way round.
  21. Oh yes and of course that one too. Second hand
  22. For anyone interested, there are some AYA Sidelocks on Guntrader at very good prices.
