Do you ever come down south???

I am picking up a remington 700 22-250 as soon as my fac comes back from variation. I want to try a few different factory rounds in it to decide what groups best as Im not going to go down the reloading route yet. Are there any other 22-250 users near bournemouth/poole who would be innterested in doing th same? That way we could split the costs down the middle. Or someone who would do some load development and some reloading with/for me I am also considering buying a second hand S&B 8x56 for the new rifle. Its one thing looking out of a shop window with one but it doesnt really give much insight into if its the scope i want to spend my hard earned on. If anyone has the same scope they and they wouldnt mind letting me have a look through I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys.

Think Im going to have a session with my HMR but leave it on 8x mag and see how i get on with it before commiting to anything. My eyes are not the best and I wear contact lenses all the time. I dont think i could zero at 100 yards on 8x mag!

All these good comments are great advertising for the Baikal SBS ejector that I have in the sales section £150 and the stock has just been re-finished. Cracking gun for walked up/rough shooting. My Browning is having some tweaks done at the mooment so I'm gonna take the Baikal out tomorrow. I need to sell it though to pay for the repairs on the browning!

Im in the process of buying a remington 700 in 22-250 flavour and need to start thinking about a scope. Its going to be used mainly for fox under the lamp and occasional muntjac. I have a MTC viper 6-12x56 on my HMR but I want something less fussy for the CF. Would I end up feeling restricted by a fixed mag scope? Im looking to spend under £200

I have a nice side by side in the classifieds for £150. The stock has just been re-finished. Its a lovely walk about gun as its light and as its a side by side its a lot more comfortable to carry. Worth a thought.

Talking to an instructer last week about setting up my mrs he said he always suggests a 12g with light carts. Worth a thought.

In response to a few PM's the barrels are 28.5" I iwll split the cost of the RFD transfer if anyone further away is interested.

Last week I had a 2011 facelift caddy delivered. It is the 1.6 TDI (102hp) Im pleasantly surprised by it. its quite nippy in the low gears. I certainly wouldnt want any less power though, I dont carry much in mine (took it over a company car as I pay £700 a year tax on it against several thousand company car tax on an estate car) I would go for the 104hp if I were you I cant imagine the 69hp is too much fun! I would look out for one with the electric pack, manual windows are not the way forward!!! However the fuel card and all the maintainance taken care of ease the pain

I'm gping to get a lightforce 170 scope mounted. I briefly had a 140 before I got into NV, now I have sold all that I'm gonna get another lightforce especially as im now going to get a 22-250.

I would definately reccomend Dennis at UK Gun repairs, Im fact my browning is with him now. You will more than likely find that any gunshot you take your gun to will actually send it there. I promise you will get a better service and price than if you use someone like lambert and wiltshire (pm me for more info on that) I took my browning to sportarm in dorchester after it had been dropped. They wanted £300 to re black the barrels and couldnt give me a price on repairing the dent in the barrels. I took it up to Uk gun repairs as i was going to plymouth. TUrns out they do all of sportarms work!!! And at a fraction of the cost!

Chokes are 3/4 and Full according to a choke guage. I didnt think it was that tight as ive had no problem with it and I am used to 1/4 and 1/2 in my browning,

Anyone got a lightforce scope mounted lamp they would like to sell?

Trigger kits really easy to fit. I think I have a spare one somewhere that you can have. It I was nuying again I'd get the thumbhole for sure.
