And if it doesn't, a proper beating with something heavier would do the job right? And probably do the same thing would keep one's kids in line too.

Had it about 10 years ago. I was burning up and drenched in sweat couldn't get out of bed. When I did, there was an outline of me in red in the sheet where the dye had been leeched out of the mattress. Looked like the Shroud of Turin on Ready Brek.

We have NowTV entertainment and kids. We watch the main channels on our old Sky boxes. We watch sport down the pub. We watch movies on Kodi because watching streamed movies ISN'T illegal.

Portray me as you like. We will be forced to take steps appropriate for wartime to resolve this ongoing assault on us. And there will be hand wringing from those who hope it will all just go away if we are nice to each other.

I'm not too worried about that. And this whole Islamic terrorism situation is going to get a lot worse before it gets better, if it ever does, and I believe 'we', as nations under attack, will have to eventually take drastic steps to resolve it.
-
Yes I do believe it's acceptable. And I really don't much care about your opinion.

I want it, a lot of people that I know want it. These people that the security services know about should leave their homes one day to go to the shops, then bag over the head and bundled into a van and off on a one way trip to a Guantanamo type facility. Followed by zero publicity and a total denial response to any questions. I don't really care who decides. The level of threat should be encouraging or planning Islamic terrorism. I specify that because it can never be stopped by negotiation, it's about a hatred of us and our way of life.

Coming home tonight, the thought flitted through my mind, "It's Friday night, probably some terrorist shootings or bombings will happen in Europe."

So you think there haven't been enough heartfelt opinions expressed here on the weighty issues affecting the world today? I suggest your observational skills might need some work. Maybe it's a bit of a relief to discuss something relatively trivial, so more people put forward a comment.

The reason I'm on this forum is that my wife put a bird table in our garden. It attracted the rats that ran along the nearby stream and I was happy to shoot them. One day I said to her 'You realise these rats are dropping by for the bird seed you put out?' Next day I looked out the window and there was a large rat on the table wrestling with a slice of pepperoni pizza she'd put out for the birds instead of seed, cos I'd told her not to. Jeez!

I have a Seiko Chronograph I bought off Ebay, new but missing the box, 7 years ago for just under £50. I wear it every day, I've changed the battery once, which I did myself, and I can't fault it. I'm getting a bit bored with it though so I'll be spending £60 or so on a Pulsar Chrono off Watchshop.com after payday. I have an Omega Speedmaster that I would wear, but it's stopped and will apparently cost about £400 to get it serviced. I'm not doing expensive watches anymore.

She will be committing political suicide and setting her party off into the wilderness if she doesn't sign it. My view is that she would trade the EU for the ability to surround herself with those that will support her 'security' agenda.

She's not a fan of private ANYTHING.

You don't need a reasonable excuse for a sub 3" non-locking folding knife. You are expressly permitted to carry it unless you use it as an offensive weapon. You could equally use your pencil as an offensive weapon.
