  1. Yeah not a problem at all, i would love to see some feed back to the longest distance that a .177 pellet as travel and killed under 12lbs power the shot last night took it out instant i cant help but think what power it might have hit the rabbit at, and how far these air rifles can go. I must add before someone says something the shot i took last night was a hit or miss as i was aiming at the head only with body out the way just for the record I woke this morning and could not stop thinking about it its like i lost my V plates all over again hehehe what a great hobby. clubb699
  2. I measured my shot using the google earth ruler tool it does yards meteres etc its quite accurate too Cheers
  3. Hi lads, We arrived at the permission that backs onto the owners house at 6 oclock, both got set up and started walking up the ramp 2 meteres to the back field and straight away there were 2 rabbits in the distance one ran the other bent down to feed, luckly we were on a slope that leads to the field so i got down and took up position not having a rabbit for a long time i was bit excited but managed to keep carm and think what im doing. I was watching the rabbit trying my hardest to judge the distance it was further than anything i have ever even thought of shooted at before, something just seemed right this time i held the gun hovering the mili dots over its head 1 dot then 1 and half then 2 dot i could not decide and was not firing at this point, the rabbit was looking up and then going back to feed un aware me and Nitro were watching him. This went on for a about a min then i took a strong hold of the gun using the ground as a support the rabbit looked up i moved to the decided 1.5 mili dot and squizzed the trigger, believe me this is a shot i will never never forgot, the rabbit did its curl over and leg twitching i turned and looked at Nitro ran over to the rabbit it was out for the count, i have just googled the distance and to my amazment the shot was 55 to 58 yards Whats the furthest shot you have took a rabbit with a sub 12lbs air rifle, me and Nitro heads are both done in lol One very happy chap The .177 Scorpion never lets me down i never took a pic as we rushed back to get ready for our first rabbit stew well done Nitro for you kill aswell Thanks for reading Clubb699

  7. Hi all, Went out to the field this morning (looking for that prize rabbit for the pot) but i ended up with my first dream kill, i went to a favorite landing place for the pigeons under a large tree, as normal i waited and waited but the pigeons seem quite snuggled in other trees and was quite still up there around the shoot, i decided to wait it out a hour went by and i noticed in the other field next to my permission 5 crows high in the trees going from one tree to the next. I didnt think i would say this but i hugged the tree as much as i could right up to the trunk and bu**er me they landed above me(Nooo im a tree hugger :( ) well unlucky for this fellow my adrenaling was pumping i steadyed my aim and it dropped to the ground, all in all i know why i love this hobby so much its mornings like this that makes it all make sence. Thanks for looking Till next time clubb699

  21. Hi all, After 2 years on the field the time has finally come, while out in the field i spotted a couple of rabbits 90 meteres i kept an eye on them for 30 min, not to rush my first stalk to them i noticed everything seemed right wind was blowing away from me and they were feeding happy. I started off moving slowly up the edgeway in thick nettles and very long grass ( paying the price now itch itch lol) i continued about 30 meteres and actually lost view of the rabbits but was paying attention to the 30 odd pigeons feeding near by making sure i did not spook them. Right my mind was ticking whats next no rabbits to be seen so i thought bite the bullet and advance so i did for a few more minutes then all of a sudden the pigeons lifted and my heart was pounding thinking i had blown it. I looked up and spotted the rabbits then could not believe what happened next from high up was well think it was buzzard making a screaching noise it was that that spooked the pigeons and then all of a sudden spooked the rabbits nooooooooo. I was gutted thought oh no i just stalked that far to have them spooked off then all of a sudden i thought make use of the time and run closer so i did, i placed myself down 30 yards from the last spot i seen them and stopped still i thought well lets just see what happens 10 mins went passed and all of a sudden 4 meteres out of the edge by me out comes the bunny it lept out and run away from me it stopped about 25 yards stood up, heart racing i slowly raised my gun took aim and slowly squeezed the trigger of my 1.77 BSA Scorpian and boom it hit the deck. Well im absolutly over the moon lads and thanks for reading Clubb699
