gixer1
Folks, For the persons with Hatsan Semi-auto's - when loading the 2nd and 3rd cartridges into the mag you have to push the button for releasing the action, does anyone know if this feature can be removed? and if so how would it be done? It's very annoying when compared to other semi-autos so any help would be appreciated! Regards, Gixer,
TonySmith
Just had a look at mine, cannot see how you can, if you disable that, how does the action close..?
al4x
that sounds like a cack feature, I know my B80 you just keep sliding the rounds in as and when you get the chance
MC
that sounds like a cack feature, I know my B80 you just keep sliding the rounds in as and when you get the chance Yep, That is how my extrema works to, you just keep putting them in. no fiddly buttons to press. Maybe Hatsan assume that people that buy their guns will have more than two arms.
al4x
might as well buy a Baikal over and under in that case at least you'd be able to re load at a sensible pace
Lez325
I have just bought the Escort PS Marine 3" Magnum - which has done away with the button to load - you just slip them into the carrier as you use them- not many in this country I led to believe- but that was a feature that made me buy this model over a standard Escort shame Hatsan don't adopt this feature on all semi autos as it must be a real pain to have to push a button to unlock the carrier everytime you want to feed a shell Les
gixer1
Surely the lock on the floor plate would be the only bit tha would need "alteration" the action release should still work the same? Does anyone have an exploded diagram of an escort
ForeignGadger
Looking at mine, it looks possible, but would involve some metal-work. The blocking lever which blocks the carrier plate, (the bit you depress to load the mag), also releases the block which rams the 1st round in and cocks the gun. Getting the pin out which holds the blocking lever could be a bit on the challenging side, though, as it looks as though it is driven into a blind hole.Drilling it out without wrecking the action body could be a challenge! The best way would probably to get the carrier plate off and modify it so that the blocking lever doesn't do its job. FG (new Escort owner and happy with it.) TonySmith
I really dont have a problem with having to use the bolt release/carrier button to load or add cartridges.I can put 3 in quicker than it has taking me to type this.. Perhaps it's a RH users thing...I am a mongrel (right handed but shoot left handed and use a LH model..

TheHunter
Got my Escort last week and the only button is to stop the next round feeding from the magazine while you make the gun safe. How old is your Escort?
gixer1
It's the latest model with the adustable curved butt pad. if your Escort doesn't have this button how do you release the bolt/action to load the first cartridge?
