reddan
I have done in the past. Living on the Norfolk Broads I think it is compulsory. There a quite a lot of backwaters that can't be explored without. Stupidly I also tried to pike fish from one as a kid. smiiithy
Just noticed this. Had a go at paddling on an adventure sports week in the lakes, but that when I was at school. Loved it but haven't had a chance to do it since. Would be very keen to do it again though. Edited November 11, 2009 by smiiithy
Blackpowder
Dont do it myself but sea angling from kayaks is an increasingly popular sport here as no doubt it is around our entire coast. Somewhere there will be forums dedicated to this branch of angling. Blackpowder
biakalblaster
Took up Sea Kayaking this year, went on a 2 day course/guiding near Oban on west coast of Scotland. Since then got out own boats and kit, and been back for more trips on west coast, and a kayak rolling course at GlenMore lodge - Aviemore - still cant roll the boat though... great sport, see a lot more wildlife like Otters and seals than you do walking on cliffs, a lot to learn though - tides etc and its hard to fit in all my hobbies now e.g. shooting, fishing, kayaking, mountain biking, skiing....
