Just put down the December edition of SG particularly the article about

ZZ Trap I've known about the discipline since I started shooting clays

but never seen it being practiced. Now according to the comic there are

only 4 layouts in England but there is rumoured to a be fifth likely to open

in 'The Stockport Area' so are they just blowing smoke or has anybody

heard a whisper ? :hmm:

Far too pricey for Northern Numpties at £1.50 a bird, they won't pay that for a pint of Boddies, it'll never take off, (excuse the pun). :hmm:

It's only us effluent Suvverners that can afford to shoot ZZ's.

Cat.

or maybe only us astute northeners can see the prices are extortionate,

Would love a go at it though.....

ZZ Trap? :(

Norman Sidebottom of 42 Edgeley Road, Stockport is selling a ZZ Top album on Ebay.

That'll be it :P

That'll be Frank's cousin then :( so your starter for ten matey name a clay shoot in the

'Stockport Area' I can only think of three and two closed a while back that odd one out in Hazel

Grove which I never got to shoot Middle Farm :good: :( :( which I miss greatly ( with Mick extracting the wee wee)

and Little Mill at Rowarth I can't remember there being any others well not that you could call Stockport

at any rate.

Looking at that clip I can see our 'mercan pals have it sorted with reusable targets

so no doubt they don't get skinned for it . I haven't shot clays regularly for a few years

being a committed rough shooter but what did tick all the right boxes was a 20 bird flush

mixed clays pairs and singles that The Grouse used to put on, thrown from the highest

trap down over the guns and for amusement a two man 40 bird now that is the business.

:( :good: :( :( :(
