deeksofdoom
Bought my first Land rover today! wahoooooo! Our shoot is shutting down and one of the beaters bought this from the game keeper during the summer as he does a lot of the dogging in and it was handy for him to get around the estate. Anyway it surplus to requirements and he has agreed to sell it to me at the end of the season. Its an absolute ****box, but I'm looking forward to being its new owner in February and hopefully pimping it up deeksofdoom style whatever that's going to be like. Here's a pic of her crossing a field with about 10 beaters and dogs in the back, the door is missing off the back of her but I'm sure that can be replaced. She's 1991 I don't know what the engine size is or anything, she's not leaking any oil and is going like clock, I can't bloody wait to get behind the wheel. Anybody got any advice? deeksofdoom
Its actually a 2.5Litre TDI, as of last week its not really going, it started fine but was dead as a doornail couldn't even get over a speed bump, sounds like dirty filters a good servicing would do it a world of good. crazyfarmerboy
sounds like fuel starvation or possible turbo problem, likely to be a blocked fuel filter as you say, good luck with it

Paul223
Excellent bit of kit, the 200 series 2.5 tdi is good for 200,000 + miles serviced regularly
crazyfarmerboy
I know of one that has survived to 400,000 mileson the clock with just one new head at 300,000, you have done very well there at the engine and boxes are probably worth 600 - 1000 alone
