Snap Cap Posted December 13, 2009 Report Share Posted December 13, 2009 Bit of a strange request, but anyone on here have any idea how much the old red telephone boxes weigh?. Asking because my brother is a locksmith and has just changed the locks on a repossessed house. He is also contractually obliged to clear the house of any left behind items. In this case 2 telephone boxes in the garden being his main concern for getting shot of. Step forward me. I have always wanted one for my garden. If my memory serves the door on them was heavy enough anyway so I would say the whole thing aint gonna be light. He has told me that they will need breaking out as they are concreted to the path. I have a flatbed lorry with hiab standing by but that wont reach into the garden, we will have to get them to the front somehow. So any ideas on how much they weigh?
