Do you just go for the day or make a trip out of it. I am trying to get out in the next few days. Might have some more pics hopefully. Cant beat being out in the fresh air, freezing your tits of with a few mates, sharing a warm tin of beans. LOL

Lez325
Looks like you shot it- theres an entry wound between your hands seriously though that looks like a nice fighting fish- did he give you a struggle to land him Les

activeviii
Your first pic or pike? Nice colours there. Where was it from Mike? I do like the winter piking, had a few last year off the wye. my brother had a 24lb a few weeks back while we were barbel fishing the wye. swim stitched off so he popped a joey mackerel and a set of trebs and dropped it in. pike had the last laugh on him though as it thrashed as he was taking hook out, one hell of a cut down the pad of his thumb, wouldn't stop bleeding either. actually I'm lying....i had the last laugh, still laughing now just thinking about it. lmao. photo came out of on it though. Phil.

Phil. Hi phil. I caught it from a little place called the Fens pools nature reserve. There are 3 good sized pools and some smaller ones dotted around. quite good really as i can walk it there with all my tackle in 5mins. Your brothers thumb would keep bleeding because a Pikes mouth has got a anti coagulant in. It stops the blood from clotting, leaving some of its fish victims bleeding to death. I am trying to get out this sunday for a trip. Might have some more pics. I definately know there are some bigger ones in there.
fletcher1234565
Forgot to mention. The picture was taken by my mates mobile phone camera. I think that the quality is awsome for a camera phone
