maddog546
Why is it you think the pair of gloves you have will do just fine, but lately I have been doing a fair bit in high seats and found that biting wind is having my hands over, now I hate wearing gloves at the best of times but when you have sat quietly for so long then realise that that gentle squeeze of the trigger is that is need for accuracy is going to be difficult due to the fact your have lost the feel for the trigger blade. So what suggestions do you have for a glove that doesnt make your hands sweat, your finger fits the trigger guard and still gives enough feel to squeeze of the round smoothly. Neoprene seems to be the route to go but they can make you sweat and obviously get cold. Mind you if this snow doesnt hurry up and go ,god knows when they will be delivered!!! I might aswell be stalking/foxing as I cant get any mole traps in the ground even though the little **** are heaving everywhere. fullbore
Funnily enough I use a pair with the same name as you Mad Dog a very snug fitting lightweight material like neoprene, so waterproof too, and in the coldest of scottish winter I just put a pair of silk gloves on first, toastie
Dekers
Mine are STORMKLOTH camo, I think it's just a bootleg copy of Thinsulate! As they go for warmth and feel I'm pretty happy, had a lot over the years and these are OK. Still hate wearing ANY sort of glove on the trigger finger though! Never found any of the fold back trigger finger gloves any use, and some are silly money as well!! If you do come up with a really good pair let me know please!! Cheers

Colster
MacWets! I love these and almost retain enough dexterity to handle air gun pellets. JustCartridges had them on offer http://justcartridges.com/macwet.html
Beardo
i got some Macwets for Christmas and they're standing up very well - i've got neoprene ones as well, and definitely prefer the macwets.

groach1234
I had a pair of MacWets but wore them out after about 9 months (the thumb went through from switching safety on and off and pushing lever open i think) now they had a hard life as ever-time i pick up a gun i wear gloves (personal preference i suppose) anyway i digress they were great gloves as far as grip and feel is concerned and keep your hands nice and warm with full dexterity i got a pair of leather shooting gloves for christmas to replace the macwets and love them but have those small holes punched in (tiny pin pricks) so your hands can breath but let in a draft George
bennyblanco
I have the seal skins shooting gloves, they are very comfy and don't get in the way of gun handling. I like the full length fold back index fingers which are better than other gloves that just reveal the finger tip and they are very water proof. The only downside bar the £40 price tag is that the index fingers are thinner than the others and in this extreme winter my trigger pinkie is very cold, they will be brilliant once the ice thaws though. Dunkield
It's worth pointing out to anyone else who might make this mistake, macwet's are't waterproof, in fact they are the opposite - I guess hydroscopic would be better term. And they aren't warm either, in fact all they are is green from what I can tell so far. Mine will be used for cool (not cold) weather beating and clays, I can't see any other use for them.
