firepower Posted January 13, 2010 Report Share Posted January 13, 2010 I couldn't get on my regular permission so diverted to another one that I haven't shot for a while. There are several fields that are easily accessible and more that are walking only. Due to the weather tonight we pulled into one of the easy fields looking for bunnies on the hedges but they were none to be seen. Changing tack we put on the fox caller. After a few minutes we lamped the area in one sweep to see two bright orange headlamps sat still and intent on the caller at ninety yards or so. Switching the lamp off I stepped out of the car, slipping and cursing under my breath. As there was no decent footing I climbed up onto the running board of the truck and laid the rifle across the roof. A quick pass of the lamp showed that he hadn't moved an inch and that, as they say was that.........The X Bolt has drawn its first blood Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
