Jega Posted January 27, 2010 Report Share Posted January 27, 2010 Nearly there guys ,its worth remembering that NO government owns the N.H.S. so they have NO right to close down ANY of its facilities, this organisation is bought and paid for by you me and everyone else who contributes through national insurance taxes etc, in much the same way that the lifeboats on a ship belong to the crew and passengers.Hopefully we won't need them for a while but that doesn't mean the ships present owners can do away with them. Our parents and grandparents were the founders of this system of national health care, and ANY government is only a custodian of it for their term of office .At some point in the past at Malcs local hospital a dyalisis unit was deemed necessary, who are this shower to now withdraw that facility? Who's to say a specialist treatment unit in one of your own local hospitals isnt next for the chop ? Just because we dont require it right now doesn't mean we might not need it at some future date .Yes by all means adjust the size of these facilities to suit the patients needs but closure ? no chance .
