turbo33 Posted January 29, 2010 Report Share Posted January 29, 2010 Bluebarrels met me at home at 7.30am, and after a quick look over the lofting set up he has made we headed off to the farm We tucked ourselves into the wood and waited for the pigeons to flight over. BB set up his lofters and mighty impressive they were, several times I caught them out of the corner of my eye and truly thought they were the real thing! The shooting was as always very exciting with the birds winging quite fast and relatively high up over the trees, BB pulling off some superb shots. Whilst chatting over an opened flask during a short lull, we discussed the height and both agreed they were close on 35-40 yards. The dog worked well picking up some long retrieves and finding the odd one that is always difficult in thick cover if you havn't a dog. Cracking day out in the best company. Finished the day on 36.
