mayfly36
Tikka do not make new T3 models supplied to the UK in a 1:8 twist, apart form the tactical, apparently GMK And Tikka made this decision a year ago. So all other models ie the T3 varmint, and T3 laminated stainless will not be supplied in a 1:8 any more, 1:12 is ALL that you will get NEW. Mr_Logic
You mean GMK made this decision - bunch of wasters the lot of them. Surely they can special order a 1:8 twist for you?
mayfly36
Yes they can, wait to you here this but......6 TO 12 MONTHS..I was looking at the tikka and the sako for an alternative, they have some lovely guns, at 1:8 TWIST. but what a kick in the rolling stones i got when i was told this. Paddy Galore!
well, thats' those nice chaps and chapesses at GMK for you, the new benelli M4 has been available in the states for a while now, not so here, the only tactical semi/ pump is the dated and unreliable M3. mayfly36
WHO NEEDS GMK.CO.UK, Not me. My local firearms dealer located a tikka t3 and the sako 85 ALL MODELS in 1:8 twist no problem, SOURCED................ Germany.
njc110381
Have you seen how much more the tactical costs? If that's the only 1-8 barrel and you want a Tikka, that's what you'll have to buy. As always, profits come before customer satisfaction

mayfly36
I presume that is not across the whole spectrum of calibres ? all the t3 models henry and the sako 85s in the .223 . ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH GMK AS A 1:12. even though the t3 and the 85 is available in both twists they will only supply the uk with 1:12. NOw i dont know whether the same would apply for any calibre above the .223. Edited February 4, 2010 by mayfly36
