Dekers
There you go, you are unlikely to get any consensus!! Mine tends to live with 1/2, but that works for me! In general terms I would suggest cylinder or 1/4, skeet it a bit wide for many applications but, like I said, it's a matter of opinion!! casts_by_fly
When I started shooting, all anyone used in single barrel guns was modified (1/2). We killed lots of game like that. My franchi is a fixed 1/2 and I always wanted to put choke tubes in it. However, I patterned it when I first got it over here. With 32g 6's (special pigeons) it had the most wonderful, even pattern at 35-40 yards that I'd never consider changing it. I know that a pigeon isn't going to fly through that pattern and not be stoned. If I miss, it is because I didn't do my job, not the gun. Thanks, Rick
Evil Elvis
Start off light, 1/4 and then as you get better go up a few, i shoot full or extra full on pigeons but have been doing it a while now.............
COACH
It`s 1/2 choke for me, the best of both and all that.
chezza1986
I'd probably start with 1/4 and if needs be tighten up to half. Whatever you feel comfortable with aswell.

Dekers
Thought Skeet was between cylinder and a 1/4 Indeed it is :o It's a term not a size, and commonly recognised as wide as you can get, like Turkey, different manufacturers place it differently!! :o Skeet is all close, a wide choke is ideal, often wider than cylinder!
