which choke? semi auto

When I started shooting, all anyone used in single barrel guns was modified (1/2). We killed lots of game like that. My franchi is a fixed 1/2 and I always wanted to put choke tubes in it. However, I patterned it when I first got it over here. With 32g 6's (special pigeons) it had the most wonderful, even pattern at 35-40 yards that I'd never consider changing it. I know that a pigeon isn't going to fly through that pattern and not be stoned. If I miss, it is because I didn't do my job, not the gun.

Thanks,

Rick

Is that the gun or the bloke's lightning quick finger that's the worlds fastest :hmm:

..and your point was

.....and how often do you have 9 clays landing at your feet anyway :o ;)

By the way..1/4-1/2 will do...I tend to leave a 1/2 in mine!

Thought Skeet was between cylinder and a 1/4

Indeed it is :o

It's a term not a size, and commonly recognised as wide as you can get, like Turkey, different manufacturers place it differently!! :o :P

Skeet is all close, a wide choke is ideal, often wider than cylinder! :D
