Pics of my new rifle

Hi Andy

I went with Roger's own moderator in the end. It is fully strippable and all stainless steel - even the baffles. The barrel is a 28 inch, 1 in 8. The downside of the whole build is that with glass on the whole rifle is very heavy. You definitely would not want to take it stalking.

Wow, that's quite a barrel & some twist for a .308.....for shooting to the horizon with heavy bullets ?

I've gone to the other extreme, 16" barrel, 1:11 twist for diddy 150g bullets, a short range (sub 200) woodland stalker....now the hard bit, waiting till May !!!

cheers

Verily, tis a monster.

It is indeed for shooting long range. Our club goes to Lydd and Hythe quite a lot and this will come into its own on those far distant figure 11 targets. TBH it's a lot more rifle than I really need, but the money was sitting in the bank earning no interest so I thought I would spend it. Especially after shooting one of Roger's creations at Lydd last summer.
