Bleeh
how did you lose it? did you have collars on them? I cleaned the hutch out, and forgot to do a latch up. I came back a few hours later and found 2 of my 4 in the garden, then I later got one back when someone picked it up. I'm still missing one (and my best worker, conquncidently)

TomV
Thats a ******, leave the hutch open if its the only one in there with some food in and hopefully your ferret should return
Pepe
See if you can borrow a mink trap and set it somewhere with its usual food.
Cranfield
They don't usually go very far, probably under a shed somewhere especially if its wet and cold. Spread the word locally, he should turn up.

Bleeh
No. The place where the other oen was picked up (with my lost ferret just behind, but was unable to be retreived) is oposite fields. I'm fairly sure he'd of made his way into the fields now, and is working rabbits (and with young'uns about, no lack of food). I might find him again, but I'm giving up hope. Oh well. albob
i used to carry my ferret in my jacket pocket on the way to pig farm for ferreting but,on the way she had got out and i was at the farm when i realized it. i started to work my way back when i spotted some magpies go mental at something,i ran like hell to the spot where they were kicking off and found my ferret. that is the only time i have beeen grateful to magpies.my best and only ferret was back in it`s warm pocket and i checked tregularly after that. good luck in finding it,not nice to lose a ferret. al Edited March 7, 2010 by albob
Teal
i used to carry my ferret in my jacket pocket on the way to pig farm for ferreting I always used to do this and some purse nets in the other. At first I thought it was funny that the jacket started smelling of a sickly combination of rabbit pee and ferret, but it got beyond a joke. Took 3 washes and half a packet of tablets stuffed in the pockets to get it clean
