Pulsar N550 rat shooting

Recommended Posts

Nice bit of shooting. A few long tails bit the dust in that vid. The Pulsar shows those little blighters up really well in the dark. Their eyes were like little daimonds glimmering through the scope. Would love get to grips with that new Pulsar N550. But its a little out of my price range. About a grand a time if i'm not mistaken  . Anyway nice vid mate, keep the rat busting up. Look forward to any more vids you may post on here. :good::hmm:

Cheers

Gareth.

Looks good to me. Is it good enough to take out foxing carb?

Its built for 'proper' rifles. The onboard illuminator will give you 60m the additional one should be good for 150m. But its that 4.5 mag, is is OK for your shooting? I suppose whatever you can hit accuratly using the 4.5x on a normal scope will be the distance. The view through the scope at night is very good. I cant see why not at all!

That's good enough for me, thanks. I'm looking to put one of these on a .17 ackley hornet and 150 yds will be plenty as long as its goood enough to make an accurate kill shot. Appreciate the input, thanks again.

Cracking vid!

I have a 550 which I use hooked up with a Deben Tracer Max Pro fitted with the IR filter - with the 550 running on 'image only' (i.e no built in IR illumination running) the image is crystal clear with no lag or image loss out to a comfortable 200yds - though personally I won't shoot that distance at night even if I did use a centrefire (with my CZ452 .22 rimmie the scope is superb).

We've been talking about getting a recorder hooked up to the Digisight - got to admire the excellent job you've done here mate.

Carb, hi,

I had mine in my hands for a few minutes last weekend. I have returned it due to excessive dead pixel count and the fact that I bought it new but some gorilla had obviously previously fitted it to a rifle and therefore it wasn't. The retailer has confirmed that I was right in doing so on both counts and another is on its way. Are you aware that a chappie on another place has come up with a x2 mag doubler and is now working on a variable version. The x2 would do for me and I would welcome your input.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

I have seen the x2 doubler and it does look very good indeed. If he can make it adjustable well. Fablous! I would at times appreciate a bit more for night shooting rats. The scope would easily be able to light up areas under highter mags. Bring it on!
